Welp, with the WB/ Netflix acquisition news, it looks like the catalogue of IPs we won’t see at the event will just get bigger. Sounds like Stranger Things will be one of them.

With the recent reports of WB and Universal in negotiations of increasing the WB IP's licensed to Universal via DC Comics, I actually suspect there might've been a play to have a easier bridge between NBCUniversal and Netflix/WB for licensing.

Won't impact any potential IP's for FFN or HHN 2026 though. Not in the slightest.

I figured it would be more likely now too.

Hey guys so strap in cause this is a long one. Murdy gave us the codename funicular and I think I may have cracked it. Behold the famous Funicular of Guanajuato,IMG_7846.png a pretty popular tourist attraction in the state of Guanajuato Mexico. While you’re there you may wanna check out the most famous thing in the city THE MOMIAS OF GUANAJUATO.IMG_7838.png
The momias of Guanajuato are the same mummies that inspired the film “El Santo contra las momias” which inspired the 2023 scarezone “Terror de las momias”. We also know that Murdy had to go back to a prior house treatment to look at notes for a treatment this year (treatment 1) well here’s the kicker. Murdy already researched Guanajuato for the monstruos houses. In fact the Momias were accidentally discovered in the cemetery of Santa Paula in Guanajuato, which may look familiar to some of you guys.

Would Murdy really give away an ip like that though? I thought it was US at first as well but I feel it’s more likely that Murdy would give a codename for an original than give away an ip with a pretty obvious codename like that. US also isn’t the most ideal repeat because the layout would have to be entirely reworked for any of the house locations we have which kinda defeats the purpose. There’s still other options for repeats that you can just copy paste with no problem. Chucky, Creepshow (you’d have to get rid of one of the black hallway segments but that’s it I think), even insidious that’d be pretty funny

@Legacy Yeah Us isn’t exactly a kind of experience that can be easily replicated, unless you had a venue that oriented itself in a way to make a repeat possible.

Only real place you *could* do that, is T-Pad, but that’d mean flipping T-Pad on the side and placing the tent where you have it where the HHN and FFN queues were.

Which—is easier said than done, and that they’ve had the T-Pad system for the past 4 years since 2022.

Murdys done codenames more actively than Orlando too, with stuff like Barnbrack for Weeknd, Churro for Monstruos I believe, and among other things. And typically the clues have had some meaning to a house.

It’s also typically tradition for us to have the Latin American house be one of the first three for treatments too. I think Hydra has a good ebb and flow on this one.

Revisiting this rq I don’t think this is a solo momias house as cool as I think that’d be. I feel like this’ll be a mashup of the 3 zones that followed each monstrous house, momias luchadores and brujas are all cut from the same cloth inspired by Mexican b movies like El Santo vs las momias de Guanajuato

Keep in mind with RE, you actually have a lot of things happening next year that makes sense.
  • Resident Evil Requiem releases on all major platforms in February (with RE7/8 Native coming to Switch 2 on the same day)
  • Resident Evil 30th Anniversary will be occuring, which will mean they'll likely want to promote the brand throughout the year
  • Zach Cregger is writing/directing a brand new Resident Evil movie that is releasing right during Prime Time HHN, and is produced and distributed by Sony Pictures
It has as much, if not more than a reason, than when TLOU came to the event in 2023.

Wonder what game they'd use. I assume they'll focus on the originals but who knows.

I wanna see my boy Nemesis.

If they're smart, they focus on RE2 (2019) and RE3 (2020). Highlight the "Modern" era of Resident Evil with the remakes of RE2 + RE3, and it allows you six iconic characters from the onset with Heroes (Leon, Claire, Jill) + Villains (Mr. X, Licker, and Nemesis).

It better be this and not based on a stupid movie or show

IMAGINE if we get Silent Hill and Resident Evil in the same year. That would be a pretty huge start towards rivaling the insanity of 2025.

So Resident Evil is supposedly for next year huh? RE would be the next big step up from Fallout, so that sounds about right. Perfect fit for TWDA. Obviously, it’s not official until it is, but I’m happy to hear it’s seriously in the running for next year….allegedly of course. Fallout has proven they finally have the budget to pull it off properly so, it’s time!

Anyone remember when the Fallout rumor originated? Might give us a timeframe to reference.

If Resident Evil finally comes, then everything I ever had on my original wishlist when I started going in 2009 would finally be checked off!

Oh, this is already starting to look good. The maze in Japan based off RE2 Remake should be a good start to gets some inspiration from.

The archway for TWDA would make a good entrance for an RPD gate!
