Would be nice since I was already gunning for this idea. Hollywood needs its Skull Island ROK equivalent in the sense of a classic IP getting some form of attraction again.

So Universal High posted a video of the Doors of F&F Supercharged building being slightly open and looks like its the same and maybe some items in there for storage.....any reason they closed this down like 8 months before the F&F ride opened if they are not working on the next attraction yet?

Was it just to save money?

If it was, this is one of the rare instances where I would be fine with it. The ride sucked.

Today should be day 1 of the new production sets being built. I wonder where they might be.

I think they're taking the comment of the new production sets being built on the lot as a "New Attraction" more than anything.

Work should've started on it, the construction timeline has it being ready by November.

So its hard to know because I have not been on the tram much since I'm going to HHN mostly, I'm trying to think of dead locations and the only areas coming to mind is the old Jurassic Area, F&F super charged and the area where the rumored Mill is going near the Western streets, unless its somewhere in the New York area

I was referring to when the official statement said something like this (excerpt from LA news article):

What I really meant to say was why did they announce a new studio tour attraction was going to be announced soon?

Anyone have any info on what's going on with the Six Points sets? I am starting to hear that the entire area will be demolished for something new and if thats true, that'll be a big shame. I'd love to get more info though because if it really is going away, I'll try to make it out there to ride the Studio Tour asap.

Talked about it on the Evolution Plan thread—TLDR, Evolution Plan from September designates new Production Support facilities where Six Points Texas is.

Survey cameras are now being sighted around the Sets too.

I just wish they picked a new loading area

For me the tram is in a sorry state

I haven’t been on the NY sets in months and little Europe and the neighborhood sets are also hit or miss

When it’s just mostly the attractions on the tram for me it’s boring, I’m here to see where movies are made but they are all being used to film

So for me I don’t learn nothing new when it’s just the attractiond

Wish they’d give this ride a face lift, move the entrance and have some more filming locations and props to have tour guides talk about

Also just saw a new building added to little Europe because of jumanji is that staying as part of the tour for a while?

Not what this sub wants to hear but, the tram nowadays is kinda of a joke sadly.

In this day and age everyone knows how movies are made. It’s really just driving through “attractions” that could be their own ride.

Don’t see the studio tour lasting much longer in its current form.

yes, *SUCH* a joke it remains the highest rated GSAT attraction year after year at the park, and it's been so (un)popular the park is deciding whether to make it an upcharge in the future.

I don't think many of us want to hate it

But I think it can be VERY VERY hit or miss

If I'm not seeing Little Europe, New York or the Neighborhood then its just attractions and for some reason they refuse to rally update the scripts to add more value to those like me who visit all the time.
It can also be on the person doing the tour as well, If you've had Tim he's great, he's funny, talks about movies and shows he lives that film here and clearly has a passion for this vs it being just a job and only telling you what is mandated on the script

I haven't been on the New York sets since summer...thats over 3 months. I get they film but on weekends when they aren't filming or filming as much, I'd like them to at least drive through the area but skipping the best part of the tram and seeing the amazing sets Universal have made

I'm not hating on the ride but not a fan of the current version and also wish USH would have just got us a new ending.....I mean F&F closed and it seems like we are still years from something new, would have been nice if they just had something ready to go when it was closing.
I could be wrong but since its mostly screens, I think we could have had a new ending...now if they had it all filmed and just had to redo the preshow area.

not every attraction is meant to be ridden 25 times a year.

Sure but its the version now

If you are going now, you wont' see the sets....the thing the tram is known for, would not matter if its your first or 25 first its a weaker version of the attraction, thats what we are discussing

The Tram peaked earlier this when Hill Valley took over the area and you could drive through it, people loved that

I go to USH all the time and the WW cast, figure out ways to change it up, is it unreasonable to ask Universal to fresh the scripts up more?

What about the fact we lost the ending but they have nothing to replace it with, I just don't think its fair to say...it will come. If Rockin Roller Coaster can go down for 6 months and become the Muppets, I have faith could replace a screen attraction in a similar time frame

And therein, once again, lies the issue. The Studio Tour is primarily designed to appeal to tourists, not annual passholders who have ridden it over a hundred times.
