Any specifics on Nintendo? Zelda or Luigi’s Mansion?

I haven’t heard much about that topic since our discussions have been more general and broad, rather than focused on specific IPs, likely out of respect for confidentiality. They’ve only hinted at it briefly, without me bringing it up. What I do know is that they got a plan to move forward quickly with the Dark Universe project while the Harry Potter attraction is still under construction. I believe the Nintendo expansion is not a core priority at the moment and may come last.

I speculated about Nintendo expansion in few months ago and in my opinion, Zelda will come to epic than luigi’s. There has been too many hints and leaked involvement activity around that IP.

All I can say now is many of them told me very confidently that dark universe’s expansion on black lagoon (specifically a boat ride) has been green lighted and it’s in works.

Creatives and members have mentioned this more than harry potter expansion while in discussion.

I agree that a 21 acre expansion plot is too much for one single portal land. You made a point there, however I think when people suggest ideas for an expansion they aren’t necessarily saying universal needs to use all 21 acres for that. Universal will need to get creative with how to divide it because that long path back to the expansion area isn’t great, especially when split into two.

I think its important to consider the part before any of the portal will be an extension of Celestial park - my objective was to test notion that two portals couldnt fit side by side and then maximise the potential of each land.
Here's a variant where the entrances are further in, the area created is equivalent to MK show building. I just chucked a flat ride in there as an examples, they dont have to be that creative to split it




If CP reclaimed an acre or so for itself, youre still going to have two lands that average 9 acres each

I think he brings up important points about the 21 acre plot potentially being used for more than one IP.

I feel like most of those who are strongly against Wicked coming to Epic may have been thinking about it in the context of consuming the entire 21 acres, leaving nothing for LOTR / future expansion. But this demonstrates how we could potentially get both. 21 acres is probably too much for Wicked, but probably too much for any single IP (in one park at least).

I would say as well, that if Wicked were to take the West/left side and LOTR takes East/right side, that would still leave room for a future transport attraction between Epic and a future sister park, if they were to go the Hogsmeade/Diagon route.

I dont know if i said it explicitly in the article, but I agree with @Alicia that Wicked would find a better home in USF, perhaps as the successor to Simpsons . We also have to consider there is evidence LOTR is going to USGB, not anywhere in Orlando until after 2031

personally, I dont have my heart set on any IPs but i do really want to see some diversity and choice across the resort (and USGB) if theres really a fire sale at WB right now, it could be great for some more options

I'm pretty much with Alicia here, while I gotta' take it with a grain of salt and all, Universal prioritizing both MoM and DU would be most welcome as they're the smallest and need expansion the most. Plus, I just want a CftBL attraction as soon as possible. Am I shameless? Absolutely, but I know I'm not alone one this one.

As an architecture student intending to apply for a creative internship next summer with a pretty proficient understanding of building structures and engineering, I was able to engage in an in-depth rather technical and advisement conversation. During this exchange, one of them shared this information with me. Also I asked for permission to share information and they were okay with this since they already started to giving hints

Aren't you the same student who ran into all the creatives at USH not long ago too and were somehow told plans about Hollywood Drift and future plans to that resort too? Just seems a little bit too unbelievable. Just tiny bit.

Additionally, several cast members (more than 3) and staff members mentioned that they have not heard of any plans for a Potter expansion

Hi yes, that’s me! I study arch in los angeles and a pass member in ush, went Orlando for a little break

My one of hobby after finishing lecture is visiting work sites, convention, prof’s studio and talk with staff & peoples passionately who are related to my study and future profession.

Thats why I’ve been doing the same thing in ush directly since I’m preparing to apply in creative intern.

I visit pretty frequently since my uni is close to there and sometimes when I spot them in park and if they don’t mind discussing with me, I get to talk with them. Thats how I’ve been getting informations.

About the potter expansion, yes permit actually has been filled in a while ago and when you see bioreconstruct’s pics, you can already see lots of cranes has been arranged in that site and when I was there, I also saw those in motion as well.

As I always say, I can keep this info all by myself yet I choose to share in this forum since you guys are highly interested in this topic and I hope these info I can share can be helpful for our discussion.

So again, please take it as grain of salt and you don’t have to believe it. Time will tell.

But personally, I wouldn’t worry about the Dark Universe not getting an expansion anytime soon.

Yes but not the big ones, few like 5-6 small crane was in motion and there was some construction people there as well. I saw in top of berk playground area and I wish I took a foto of it.

I wasn’t much interested since we all know that permit has been filled in specifically on that site and it will start construction soon.

Also I heard this from many staff as well so my prioritize went up a head than this topic.

Ofc, It’s not been long since I participate this forum and overall, I like it here since people are respectful and being neutral.

From my understanding, sometimes they twist the word and don’t tell the exact detail. And I realized this when I discussed about the Hollywood drift with them. But they to reveal truth sometimes and when I hear these words from them, I think of this as a more of hint.

I also filed a claim and discussed severely of state in darkmoors with them. Topic was lighting reprogramming and hue choices, More interactive, show element and sets on the land like isle of berk or Nintendo, sightline of burning windmill, curse of the wearwolf relocation to create more room to expand villages, give better sightline for burning windmill and future ride, adding laser electronic lighting spark effect on castle while lighting show in castle is in activation, painted mountain wall like kong in several backstage to cover sightline to make more immersive environment and many more.

I mentioned every problem we discussed with my perspective and they told me that they will consider and discuss about my opinion internally.

Don’t worry I informed them enough and if I see changes, I’ll let you guys know!
