Considering how MMRR was in development around the same time, I wonder what happened there.

Believe it or not, but those are two completely separate ride vehicle designs. They look roughly the same and are both trackless obviously, but the underlying tech is slightly different because the RotR vehicle needed to be more precise for locking into the elevators and all of the stuff going around it like the cannons (RIP).

Kind of a left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing type of thing.

Are we sure Encanto is an E-Ticket? I pictured something more akin to the Little Mermaid Adventure at California Adventure, which they got open in about 2.5 years.

Circling back on this since apparently from rumblings here and there, this ride isn't some big E-Ticket. It's more on the lines of like a nice Fantasyland dark ride which honestly, I'm fine with that! Not everything needs to be an E-Ticket to help with crowds, and quite frankly a nice Fantasyland darkride is still a nice darkride.

Circling back on this since apparently from rumblings here and there, this ride isn't some big E-Ticket. It's more on the lines of like a nice Fantasyland dark ride which honestly, I'm fine with that! Not everything needs to be an E-Ticket to help with crowds, and quite frankly a nice Fantasyland darkride is still a nice darkride.

It is an awfully big showbuilding for Fantasyland-scale, but if we're talking the general tone/vibes of the experience (and not length), I think that sounds just fine.

Granted, most Fantasyland darkrides are not known for being long. Nevertheless, it could very well fit the nice book-report vibe those darkrides usually pull off.

Always found it odd that the WDW parks are not filled to the brim with smaller C & D-ticket dark rides tied to their IP library.

How we don't have a significant IP presence featuring Aladdin, Pocahontas, Pinocchio, etc. is beyond me.

I've spoken about it in other threads, but this is why Magic is the best park of the four. There are just rides, rides, rides. Are Winnie the Pooh, Small World, Buzz, Magic Carpets the absolute best rides ever? No, but they are just a few of a thousand fun attractions on offer, so collectively they all lift each other up.

Are Winnie the Pooh, Small World, Buzz, Magic Carpets the absolute best rides ever? No, but they are just a few of a thousand fun attractions on offer, so collectively they all lift each other up.

It's by far the most well-balanced (in Orlando) park. You've got plenty of dark/boat rides, plus several coasters, flat rides, and multiple kinds of shows (AA showcases and 3D).

For all the talk corporate executives mention regarding synergy, they do a terrible job at it.

I'd have Imagineering create preliminary concepts for each new film that would at the very least be built at a park within 3-4 years of the film debuting. Maybe not every film, but it took them forever to bank on Frozen.

I'd base it on box office as well as viewing via the streaming service to determine how popular the movie was. I definitely agree that they need to move more quickly to tie movie popularity to a ride. I would also say that the ride needs to be well designed and not always a retelling of the movie. I watched the movie and know how it ends. Being introduced into the world of that movie with a new adventure is enjoyable.

According to the theme park community everything is a E Ticket and Disney doesn’t know how to build other types of attractions anymore.

That’s a nice surprise for that particular group of fans.
