Aren't Richter's, Chez Alcatraz, and Lombard's rather popular? I just don't see San Francisco getting a full retheme to London or Hill Valley. The land is well-themed, it just needs a better attraction to anchor it.

And while it wouldn't be the most popular move for most on this forum, they could easily do a BTTF attraction and simply leave the rest of San Fran as in. I mean hell, San Francisco is home to Silicon Valley and the American tech industry... Simply tie the story to a new campus of the original attraction's Institute of Future Technology opening in Silicon Valley and boom, that's all you need. It's an even less flimsy excuse than the entire The Mummy attraction in a New York Museum, or New York getting a coaster named Hollywood Drift...

Chez Alcatraz is really the only standout in the area. Lombard's can do better business, and I don't think Richter's is beloved by much (theming is great, not so much the food).

Nice concept. That could work with a 'quality, well acted', 360 film. ...Just so they don't have Biff hanging onto an oversized drone flying through the 360 tunnel scene.

Unless you’re on the wrong side of the bus and can’t see anything… or in the middle and have heads in your way…

It’s a horrid ride system truly.

It was ok wtih Kong when Kong was 3D. Losing 3D really hurt that ride. Supercharged was awful and I don't think 3D would have helped.

But I do agree the ride system is generally not that great and would prefer they do something new in that space. I'd probably be suckered in if it's BttF and they have the theme playing and everything but feel like it deserves a better ride than the 360 degree screen tram ride.

Yeah, that would actually be pretty cute to do a "sequel" ride to the original simulator. That is exceedingly rare in theme parks.

It totally could. I think there's a way to thread the needle, where the plot is definitively connected to the events of the previous ride, but in a way that doesn't require knowledge of it to make sense. Essentially, the same kind of winks and nods that rides usually give to what came before, but this time slightly more pointed. Not make or break for me, but it'd be cute to see.

To be fair, it's not like the old ride is super heavy on plot to the point it would need to be recapped. If Doc references "the last time Biff stole the DeLorean" or something about Biff's shenanigans, that sort of quick comment would work for everyone either way: If you're someone who knows the plot of the old ride, it works as connecting to that; if you've only seen the movies, it still works as a reference to Old Biff stealing it in Part II. And that would really be all you need to get people caught up on "Biff's causing trouble again" as a plot device in a new ride.

I like the idea of Doc taking over the Courthouse as the base for his new time travel related company as a way to bring more tourists in to Hill Valley. Rather than the DeLorean, you board a bus for higher capacity travel (and no need to spend money on a new vehicle).

My only concern is the use of AI/CGI to bring the characters to life.
