I wonder if Cirque will be around in 10 years. Stage shows are vulnerable to cost-cutting around stage talent. And as much as many people love stage shows, I also think a lot of guests don't even count them when they list "the rides" in a park (say, compared to if there was a Fantasyland/Mystic Manor style dark ride there). It takes an "attraction mindset" to value them.

Plus, ten years form now, will Fantastic Beasts have any resonance? Will they perhaps "pull a (Disneyland) SWGE" and revert the land entirely to the O.G. franchise (of course, the new attraction will influence that possibility one way or the other).

I'd imagine Cirque will be "re-invented" as a new show to promote every few years.

The stage is fine, along with the puppets. Maybe it loses the circus element at the start and becomes more puppet-heavy. I think the Cirque part of the show, and I think more stunts and battle could be featured later on?

plus it's a 'good' show, not a 'great' show ....so it can be tinkered with without angering most of the GP. The present version is a 'tad' too difficult to understand.

I honestly think it's Mine Cart-- capacity it too low, and it's still unreliable. Hopefully it gets better, but it feels like it was a mistake.

I also think Curse of the Werewolf could easily be removed in favor of something better at some point.

I agree with both. Werewolf especially; I'd assume the sunk cost is low and they may be able to sell the ride to another park.

Mine-Cart... I'm wondering why this had to be a coaster at all. I would have preferred a pretend coaster on a track (like a Kuka arm). I get they wanted some drops/etc but I feel like this effect could have been simulated in other ways.

How common is it to dismantle coasters and move them? I wonder if Werewolf could be relocated into a future Kids Resort (with a different theme)?

I wouldn't say it's "common", but it's happened before. Considering the size and layout, it's a lot more feasible for Werewolf.

From my understanding, it occurs somewhat frequently with regional and international parks, though not often with Universal or Disney (actually, I'm not sure if Disney or Universal parks have done it at all).

I'd imagine the age of the coaster would be a big factor; if they decide to change this up in five years, the likelihood of moving/selling it would be much higher than if it's 10-20 years. I assume this is what caused RRR and Dragons to get scrapped rather than sold/moved.

Replacing Dragon Racer’s Rally with a different, higher capacity flat ride that still fits the theming.

Dragon Racers Rally. Easy to replace with another low budget, better capacity, flat ride. Then it gives them something new to advertise/market.

This is my answer as well. Has so little capacity and as far as I can tell it's so neutered from what that ride system offers in its other installations.

I think Stardust stands to get a track replacement than removal when the time comes. HRRR was a problem since before it opened, so unsurprisingly got removed. Dragon Challenge (Dueling Dragons) never hit the same once the trains weren’t synced, and rumored pressure from Rowling not liking the coaster looming over Hogsmeade probably added to their decision to remove it entirely instead of replacing the track.

Maybe in a few years we’ll see DK trains get replaced with something lighter/better designed before going away (think original X trains before X2).

As much as I like it, Racer’s Rally sometimes takes too long to get on and the ride itself barely gets going before it ends. I’d be okay with that going away if we get another flat ride that isn’t usually seen in the US. My other vote would be the Werewolf coaster, but only because I want Burning Blade to have more visibility.

Despite problems with the story itself, The Cursed Child has gotten some great reviews particularly for its special effects. The Time-Turner aspect could bring additional cohesion to the land overall too.

One thing to consider about replacement. A flat ride like Dragon Racer, that occupies a fairly small space, is easier and cheaper to replace than a large D/E ticket attraction. Also have to consider the depreciation write off period concerning big budget D/E attractions.

On the flip side, in 10 years when Epic Universe is much more built out I think it hurts a lot less to have quirky, low capacity attractions like Dragon Racer.

I agree. I'm basically saying swap out a low capacity quirky flat ride for a higher capacity, quirky flat ride. Reading Epic FB reviews it doesn't seem like many guests like Dragon Racer. Fairly inexpensive swap............I remember Kennywood, before they were sold, would swap out flat rides every couple years. It gave them something new to market/advertise with their limited capital budget.

There's gotta be one of those ginormous Sky Screamers laying around somewhere.

I can see Fyre Drill getting the ax. Epic needs a thrilling water/dark ride similar to Jurassic Park River Adventure/Dudley Do-Right's

Well considering the Dollywood one was removed for issues I could see it.

My suggestion? Racer Rally to add something with higher capacity.

I agree completely. Plus, Dragon could use a little more immersiveness. Racer's Rally feels like a standard flat ride found at any theme park and the capacity makes it unappealing. Add a nice dark ride in its place (maybe the caves where the dragons are laired up) and the starts feeling more well rounded. A coaster, a soaking (potentially) water ride, a stage show, and a nice dark ride would be a strong anchor on the land.

I think the best solution is to "expand" on the Viking Training Camp idea by adding a flat ride package for younger children. 1776865538253.png

It's amazing how much space those Sky Fly's take up. Can easily fit 3-4 flat rides within that space and more than enough breathing room.

This would be great. I actually think Racer Rally is fun, but man, it's too short and the capacity is too low for the amount of space it takes up.

I would have to think curse of the werewolf would be the first ride to go. It’s such a low quality attraction compared to the rest of the park.

Not an attraction, but unless they open up the hub to the general public, or at least a hotel guests, there’s no reason to have Atlantic and Blue Dragon open.

Blue dragon is connected to Helios’s Hotel, I wonder if there’s a way they could just include that with hotel access. A nice cocktail at their outdoor bar would be very cool, but I’ve never seen it busy enough to actually open it
