Brendan Fraiser, and Rachael Weisz return for a brand new The Mummy film, being produced and distributed by Universal Pictures!!! Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet from Scream 5 will be helming the film together.

Radio Silence has yet to fail, and the fact that they are getting the chance to modernize the 90's Mummy is incredibly exciting to me. Also absolutely floored that Brendan gets to get his roses, and be hopefully leading in this film considerably.

As a bisexual myself, I can confirm that The Mummy has always been for the Bi's and Pan's. And yes, we are VERY excited for the upcoming sequel! This post would have been more fun to write IF SOMEONE HAD GOTTEN ME MY CUP OF COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Are in talks" does not mean it's a done deal. But considering Brendan and Rachael don't have much going on, I'd imagine this is very likely to happen.

I'll be excited if we do get this. Would love to see some modern day updates to the ride, perhaps with Brendan reprising his BTS role for the queue and final scene.

Only two LONG years of waiting... ONLY...

Hopefully they don't just completely ignore the events of Mummy 3. And with creative writing, it'd be easy to explain that because Rick didn't stay at Shangra La, the fountain of youth effects have lessened causing him to age.

Now if they can get Freddie Boath to come out of acting retirement for this film, it'd be perfect since he's the right age to return as Alex.

Also really hoping they go the route of the Aztec/Incan/Mayan mummies ...especially because those pyramids are cool & blood sacrifices
