When they did the budgeting for FFN2025, they made certain calls with how much they'd spend in the capital that made it kind of really dumb. The quality of the Picard sets, were good because they were from the show. And for the various assets made, it kind of blew up the budget in a way that wasn't really planned.

One of the things I've heard is that the budgeting for 2026 got cut back, and that for the walkthroughs and experiences; that spending the money that they did for something like Star Trek seems to be infeasible.

Could be possible if/when Orlando gets FFN, things might evolve to increase budget accordingly, but I've heard the money purse for 2026 is somewhat tight.

Lol

I love how some people hear we had the budget cut while when I mentioned a event like lunar new years another poster said they wanted to but all the money went to fan fest

I guess that was not true, for now fan fest budget seems around the same or lower because most likely not attraction as big as BTTF and no Star Trek and nothing at that level is replacing

I would imagine the first year for *any* event would be higher cost/budget than any subsequent years. This would be due to potential investments you'd need to make in that first year (research, design, marketing) and the cost savings you'd pass on the years after.

If 2027 has a lower budget than 2026, that's where I'd start sweating.

Is there a reason they are keeping Jurassic at Fan Fest such a secret?

They own the rights, the event is two months away you'd think they'd want this out there along with whatever is at dreamworks.

IIRC they were like this last year too and didn't give many details beyond what IPs would be featured until about a month out.

I'm expecting that for most attractions
Heck, the day of the event the TM's could not tell me what express pass works on at the event that was happening that night, lol

I'm just confused on why you'd not be telling people Jurassic is coming and whatever is in dreamworks. Its been a while since the last real update as well, so hoping we hear more soon.
