Nice when nothings broke down. Was it your four leaf clover, lucky charm or just bum luck? ;)

DKMM and stardust were delayed multiple times later, which led to us skipping BATM because of that line. Hopefully we can make up for Sunday

Second and last Epic rope drop this morning.
  • Same rides are open: everything except Dark Universe and the Carousell
  • Different opening routine though
  • Got in line at 7:45 for 9:00 EPA
  • 8 min walk from Stella, second in line
  • Green gates open at 8:15, walked up to security gates, those go at 8:30, park opens at 8:50
  • Doing BatM this time, and the plan is Hiccups, MK, and maybe DKMM
  • BatM opening was weird. They led the mass of people around the entire land first. This worked, we were in a single file by the time we got to the ride!
  • Ops were great, out at 9:22
  • Hiccup is delayed!
  • Called an audible to go all the way across to MK. Out by 9:40.
  • Hiccup is up, out at 10:01
  • Burning Blade for a drink. Love this place if I can get a table
  • Curse, out in 20
  • Monsters
  • Lunch at my favorite restaurant, Das Stakehouse
  • Hanging at the Stella Nova pool, drinking Jonathan Silverhands
B+ for today

It is clear now that it is difficult if not impossible to do BatM and DKMM without a long wait for at least one of them. We’ll try tonight though!

Looking at yesterday's and todays ride times, park looks low capacity attendance. Nice weekend to visit Epic. .........Second Epic day of our November trip, we got lucky. Both Ministry and DKMM short lines Sunday after 6:00 PM. First day though, only Ministry was short. That was pure luck though since DK is long lines 90% of the time, day and night.

Does anyone have any idea what is open in the park to non-EPA guests during that hour? Are we blocked off from going into the park and can only stay inside the front part of Celestial Park or are they checking room keys at the portals, which means we should be able to walk around anywhere in Celestial Park, except ride Stardust Racers?

For Mother's Day, took my mom for her first visit and the day went wonderfully!
  • Got there at 7:45 to rope drop Ministry.

  • Finally let into line, went down briefly but even with delay, only ended up waiting 40 minutes. My mom is a big Harry Potter fan and was very impressed.

  • B-lined for Wing Gliders, in and out in 10 minutes!

  • Grabbed some mac-n-cheese cones, before headed to Curse, which was a walk-on! Got some good spins on the back row.

  • Got in line for Monsters, my mom was blown away by the Frankenstein animatronic. Put our stuff in the locker, and... went down. Alas, Unchained never gets long lines, so we opted to leave and come back later when it came back up. Timing actually worked out well as Le Cirque was starting in just 15 minutes, so we went over and despite entering at the last second, got center front row seats.

  • When we were out, Unchained was back up, so we high-tailed it over, once again only waiting 10 minutes. We got on, and while unfortunately escaping Drac along with two brides were down, everything else (INCLUDING FULL A-MODE FINALE DRAC!) was working wonders, and my mom, despite not being a horror fan in the slightest, was blown away and absolutely loved it. It ended up being her second favorite ride behind Stardust. Afterward, got some monocaine and a Pure of Heart, said hi to Ygor, before headed to race with the stars.

  • My mom is a big coaster person, and Stardust she loved top-to-bottom. Helps it was her most anticipated!

  • We took our lunch break at Das, before headed to Berk to see Untrainable, but we still had a solid 40 minutes to spare. Thankfully, the Toothless line was at the shortest I'd ever seen it, and we waited to see him. 35 minutes pass, we got our pets and photos in, and once again despite hopping in at the last-second, we got a front row center seat for Untrainable!

  • Afterwards, we headed to Nintendo, and while originally weren't planning on doing any of the rides, MK dropped down to a 25 so decided to just say f it and hop in. The ride stopped 3 full times while we were on, and my mom was very disappointed and unimpressed. She's in agreement that SNW was by far the weakest part of the park, and she's a big Mario fan!

  • We went back for Stardust to ride Green before having dinner at Pizza Moon. While originally we were planning on staying till close, me and my mom were both wiped, so we opted to instead get a few more single rider rides in on Unchained before headed out. Lunging Wolfman unfortunately stopped working at some point in the day, thankfully my mom got to see him in full action earlier and it actually got a little startle out of her!

  • Overall, my mom gave the park a solid 8/10, and we had a fantastic mother's day adventure. :)

Nice review...Good timing. Mother's Day appeared to be one of the lowest Epic line times days since it opened. Even DKMM had comfortable lines in the evening. ...Note to myself: Go to Epic on Mother's Day in 2027.

Around 7:00 I think, BatM had a 15 that turned into just 35 when Arcanus dumped out. Incredible.
