This ride will be near another ride that actually stars a family.

Despicable Me features a family, you get adopted by a family in Pets… should rename the upper lot to “the family lot.”

Kung Fu Panda is about Po's Dad's Sauce... Harry Potter is about a found family... you may be onto something

I wonder if they are still planning to finish programming a gasolina vehicle dance move at the block section before the station. Saw them doing testing before; I'd personally love to have this feature haha

I wonder… could they do special events with this coaster like SFMM’s backwards Colossus and Guardians After Dark?

During HHN or say fan fest nights for example, they could have the cars always be spinning or ride backwards the whole time:lmao:

It’s a nice thought, but the whole point of the spinning is to divert noise away from the Studio.

Besides, I don’t think a lot of people are going to be down for a diabolical spin mode as that will make a lot of people sick. The current profile will probably push that as is.

HOWEVER they can do all sorts of cool things with the soundtrack. I would LOVE to hear some metal blast on those speakers during HHN. I wanna hear some Ministry or Judas Priest!

I agree, it'd be really fun to have something to enjoy if the ops are a bit delayed; and a cool reference to the OG days of F&F on the Studio Tour (Uni loves their references)

Interesting statement at 6:08 regarding the onboard audio. When asked if the ride vehicles have music, he says that “there are some musical accents” but that most of the audio will sounds matching each car- engine and car sounds

I am sooo hoping for July 4th....not for me it would make it insane but I feel so bad for the people who planned a trip a while back and can't move it and the coaster is not here

Hoping it can somehow open soon and do wonder if this will affect what they replace Simpsons with

Like if you want a Bigger ride you'd need to use the hill but after this ride taking months longer then what was expected, I wonder if it will be the last time they use a hlll in a project for a long time

I mean people were speculating this opening at the end of last year but lets pretend that was too early, then it was Fan Fest and then by Mega Movie summer...I mean Mega movie summer is the biggest indicator this was not the plan if it was the plan then it would be opening Friday. This one ride took longer to build then the HP land, Its at the same time period at SNW and that got affected by Covid slowing it down for 18 months.

There is something going on behind the scenes because the main coaster has been done for months, now its all testing and something is clearly not working as intended.

The Hill I assume is the biggest Issue to that because they are opening a coaster in Florida next year and the coaster its replacing just closed last August
I know it won't be for a while and might be more boring for some but I hope one day we hear the story on what was going on the last 6 months of this coaster

It's pretty abundantly clear the ride is behind. There have been a series of promotions, between the rollout of television advertising, annual pass monthly magnet gifts, and the Hollywood & Dine retheme, that were likely developed and greenlit with the presumption that the ride would be ready for those rollouts.

(Also: Obviously they'd have preferred for the ride to be open for spring break and early summer crowds.)

We should get a betting pool going.

I’m rooting for F&F to open first just so I can say that it took Knott’s longer to refurbish Monty than for universal to plan, build, and open a brand new coaster.

In one of the recent ride interview videos, the Universal Creative Vice President Jon Corfino said he’s been working on this ride for almost 10 years (2017).

He also said the ride experience is 3 minutes long…lol. Probably including the brake runs.
