Nice to see Terrifier Tram still rumored.

Looks like some kind of morgue-themed original in JP?

I wonder what the facade for Burn is if that's really what's in H-Lot. Nothing we've seen from the trailers resembles what's being built there. It definitely doesn't look like the house:

Maybe some sort of store, a la Blumhouse 3 and Ghostbusters Frozen Empire? Like maybe the movie begins with someone finding the Necronomicon there.

What are the odds Burn got swapped out with Resident Evil, with the whole Vegas thing happening right now?

I just hope Resident evil makes it way here next year

I'm sorry but there to me should be little to no excuse to this coming to Hollywood...if Vegas can get the rights then USH biggest event of the year should be able to make it happen

I'd go and take over the front of the park......have the restaurant take over....have the WW show rethemed to Resident Evil and make the opening Scarezone into Raccon City. I won't claim it will be as big as One Piece....but I think the food lines and show would get a HUGE boost from this IP and if they could do meet and greets as well, I think they would get some good lines especially for a HHN character meet and greet. With Leon, Clare and Chris plus Wesker we would have some solid offering if this comes to LA

A RE house in Hudson gate followed by a Resident Evil scarezone up front would be perfect for the main plaza. Fire towers would fit in so well there.

If we can get a house I'm all for for it.

I think a Scarezone and the show would also work, like the Purge show is great but people are ready for something new and think it would work well for that venue but if they are down for a Scarezone (fire towers) and house I will not complain. I know its small to many but also would hope we can get a meet and greet with the hero's and or Wesker as well. They could maybe do a mini show moment when they come out (like the Yoshis and Sailor Moon did at Fan fest)

This has been asked and answered. IPs for Orlando/Hollywood are generally locked well over a year in advance of the event (closer to 18 months usually). The latest Resident Evil license was likely cleared after that cutoff point. Maybe this means it comes to the main parks next year if the Vegas tests goes well! Maybe it doesn't. We'll see!

The last thing we want is a hastily planned Resident Evil house that's really just a reskinned Evil Dead Burn house. Let's wait a year and see if we can get it next HHN, when they'll have time to execute it properly.

That's why I said next year

I'm happy Universal is finally working for Japanese IPs, I don't know if One Piece was the thing to make them understand they have some partners with some stellar IPs that have big bases and Video Game/Anime fans...just spend more then normal fans of just movies normally.

But really hoping RE can now be apart of Hollywood's event because its just a perfect fit

We have The opening area's working well for Scare zones...the Plaza also could work....Water World.....a house....or Terror Tram. Its just a near perfect IP for Hollywood

I mentioned this in the Vegas thread, but I don't think we should treat that activation like it's a major breakthrough in the relationship between Universal and Capcom.

Mostly because it seems like they already have a great relationship. Biohazard has been at USJ's HHN for years.

Call me crazy and delete if not allowed, but I personally feel like if we do see RE it will be at fan fest to try and get more people to attend. Obviously this would work better at HHN (mention of the fire towers/Raccoon city scare zone is an absolute dream) but if Universal Really wanted to get another crowd in for FF, RE would kind of fit in.

I mean if its not a big deal why has RE been left out of HHN here in the states? Like RE has been killing it since 2017 and even before that the movies were huge even if they were not great

It makes little to no sense to me, I listed above that at least in Hollywood we have sooo many locations this IP works for

I could be wrong and its just the timing but feels to me like because of Fan fest and animes doing so well someone in Hollywood is waking up to bringing more IPs we have in Japan to the parks because the videos of Sailor Moon, One Piece and even Hamikuma get big views and the merch is also doing well.

Yeah, but you're acting as if they somehow have already failed to include it.

I'd also lower your expectations. Not saying they couldn't do multiple activations, but if it comes to the event, I'd expect a house and a food/beverage element.

I mean, I just personally don't get why they never have

To me if you can bring an IP in that is huge you do it, RE is like the game people talk about with Horror and before now I assumed it was because the licensing was too much or just unable to come to an agreement but....if HHN in Vegas has the budget to get them then Hollywood should be no problem

I can only assume things but most the people running USH from the vibes of many thing feel like they are just "older" and don't understand or apart of many current trends. We've only had anime in the parks for less then 2 years....but if they could have had them years ago I'd also be confused on why they never tired but happy someone is there telling them "One Piece is great and if you do it correctly fans will come and anime fans are willing to pay for all this plastic crap they don't need and eat ok food because its themed to an anime"

RE I don't think would be as big as some of the bigger anime's but from the movies the general public will know it and most gamers loveeee the series becacause besides some small misteps like RE6 he games have been killing it for a long time. Its just something that works and when we have Killer Clowns for a third time (no hate) but that's just conduing to me because the point of these partnerships is to bring in people who normally don't come to the park and last year that was FNAF and that also killed because video game fandoms are pretty strong for events

It could be coming next year guys let's all chill out for a second.

We're getting Sinners and Hellraiser this year!!

As for why it's never come till now, it's worth noting that HHN usually does video game properties only when there's a movie tie-in, and the Resident Evil movies were both non-Universal and not especially popular in the States (overseas, they made beaucoup bucks, but over here, most of them made about as much as Blumhouse's Ma). That, coupled with the fact that a Resident Evil maze will be extremely expensive and Hollywood only recently got its budget upped, goes a long way towards explaining why it probably hasn't come.

Put it this way: if Resident Evil came in like 2015, it would've been full of black walls and everyone would've clowned on it.

Because you don't understand how this works. I'm sorry to be curt, but you're basically saying you know better than the entire team that oversees Horror Nights.
