Amazing how they tore it down and then rebuilt it in the span of two weeks…

That water gun in the video looks like someone drank too much water if you know what I mean...and I think you do.

I really am expecting this house to be fairly action packed.

No spoilers for the movie, but it gets going fairly quickly and doesn't really let up. Mostly just wall to wall deadite fights.

Most intriguing part of the house description in the Hollywood Reporter article is this little bit at the end:

HHN guests will get to experience the franchise’s distinct blend of extreme gore and dark humor as they go on a first-hand journey through the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods. As attendees navigate sequences adapted from the movie’s most frightening moments, the nightmare will grow, with more and more ferocious Deadites around every corner, culminating in a moment that promises to see guests “succumb” to evil forces themselves.

Just watched the movie yesterday so perfect timing!

I actually disliked the movie quite a bit but do think it'll translate well into a house similar to Terrifier last year. It's going to be a gory house and there should be some great, gnarly makeup for the scareactors. Depending on how aggressive the cast is this year, could see this one being pretty scary, the house in the movie is creepy and claustrophobic so plenty of potential blind corners to use.

Biggest question for me after seeing the movie is the use of a soundstage for this one, its not a big movie by scale or what I imagine to be an effects-heavy house. Feels like it would be better served in a sprung tent, or maybe one of the new tents if they did want some height for the facade and maybe recreating the last act. I'm very curious what they planned with all that space.

I do wonder if the facade will be the obvious house in snow that they love to do. Or...

if they'll use the lake as the big open/facade, and save the burning house for the end scene

Based on some of the other details from Twitter, I could see:
Potential cold open at the funeral home/morgue, big house facade with gazebo, book report adaption until the fire starts, then a flaming hallway transitions into an original take on whatever they mean by "experiencing a deadite possession". I imagine they skip the lake and construction sites out of practicality since those would be big sets for mostly skippable scenes.

Maybe reusing the previous dog prop to show the aftermath or a puppet version of the deadite dog for a scare later on. Can't image they'll actually recreate the scene though.

I could definitely see an appearance by the Depths of Fear dog prop, but I doubt we'd actually see the scene itself

I think this house is a major sleeper, a lot of potential for some intense moments and aggression from scare actors.

I also just went to see this movie last night and I thought the previous film, Evil Dead Rise, was better. I thought all of the characters in this one were unlikable and I was rooting for the deadites to win.

At this point, 3 “serious” movies in, I’m really starting to miss the campy fun of the original movies. They need a doofus protagonist that actually takes the fight to the deadites and somehow survives each movie.

That all being said, I feel the setting for this movie will be a very easy translation for a haunted house. It has a lot of potential for a walkthrough attraction like what HHN can do.

The characters were my main issue with the movie as well. I thought that the 2013 remake had the perfect tone of seriousness with just a little over the top elements to make it feel like an Evil Dead movie. These last two just can't quite figure it out.
