Outside of Wicked, are there any other relevant Universal owned IPs they should prioritize over BTTF/Jaws?

Very interesting that Woodbury said that wants to learn more into the IP they already own in their parks, but these are the only ones people ever mention when it comes to adding stuff the parks. No one wants an Oppenheimer coaster?

I think Eckert might be misconstruing what Woodbury actually said. He made statements like this at the Bank of America Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference last year during a Q&A session he did. He said that Universal IP's are the foundation of the parks, but that 3rd party IP's will always happen and help round out and diversify their offerings.

Would it be feasible to have this as a rotating themed attraction with different anime IP's the way they do in Japan?

It could be a way for them to gauge popularity, but the ride system still isn't people's favorite.

There’s been rumors of Disney going ahead with a “black box attraction” concept where they could swap out media and programming in the attraction for new experiences.

I feel like this idea pops up every so often, but I've never seen the promise of swapping out temporary attractions actually fulfilled; stateside, at least.

The closest is arguably Star Tours with its' consistently updated scenes, or the VOID experience that was in Disney Springs for a bit.

I'd be interested to see it actually happen. Just a little doubtful this will finally be the one to make it work is all.

To me it sounds like Infinity Defense might tap into the black box concept for the digital media. You can keep that ride up to date by filming new content whenever there is an Endgame or Secret Wars level event or film.

That black box concept sounds like an excuse to find out how little effort Imagineering can get away with on a project.

It’s an interesting idea especially getting new characters into the parks. But dark rides are best with fun tricks and gags and I don’t think they can really do it with a trackless ride system without permanent sets.

Agreed. Positivity in me says it can be nice having seasonal, yearly, bi yearly, overlays of a ride to look forward to. Some IPs or films that’ll never get a ride or land permanently can still get their time to shine in the parks.

That said I obviously largely agree.

They hardly even ever swap out the Short Film Festival shorts at EPCOT
