"The wizard world is open! I just saw people go in!!!"
"Nono, ma'am, that was the entrance to the Dragons roller coaster."
"The one in the Hogswarts?"
"...No, the one in the smaller castle that houses the soon-to-be Dragon Challenge."
"Oh..."

I felt bad for her. :(

I bet that gets said a lot nowadays.

I work for a cruise line, so I've heard my fair share of complaints, here are some for your enjoyment!

"The ice cream is too cold" (mind you this is self serve soft ice cream)

"I paid for an ocean view room and all I can see out of the window is a parking lot." (the agent told them, check again in 2 hours)

"This hard boiled egg is pre-boiled."

Think you can PM me some links to that information? I'd love to read about it. I've seen a ton of stuff on the other parks, but not a whole lot about Animal Kingdom. Thanks in advance, if I forget to thank you formally. XD
I'm not positive this is what rewster was talking about, but it's the only backstory I've ever read

DinoLand U.S.A. originally started as a small highway town where an amateur fossil-hunter found some dinosaur bones in 1947. After contacting some scientist friends, they gathered their money together to purchase the site. Since then, scientist, volunteers and grad students have been living there trying to find answers about dinosaurs. The Dino Institute was founded and opened the site as a "fossil discover park". An old fishing lodge on the property became the Restaurantosaurus. Meanwhile, the Dino Institute discovered how to warp vehicles through time, and thus started doing time tours.
Chester and Hester, two locals, were determined to make a quick buck and converted their gas station into a fossil souvenir shop. Not to be out done by the Dino Institute, they created their own version of DINOSAUR named Primeval Whirl. They also added Triceratop Spin and the midway games.

When I was at Animal Kingdom a few weeks ago I heard this beastly mother say the following to one of her children. My sisters boyfriend and I looked at each other like WTF?

Woman to her child: "You best stay close or your gonna get the beating of a lifetime."

That poor kid.

Yea, I always witness parents threatening physical abuse to their kids when they disbehave. They drag them around roughly and are just super distracting from the overall atmosphere of the parks.

I was at IOA one day and a lady asked my friend, who is a TM, where was the Haunted Mansion and Small World. My friend politely smiled and told her that those attractions were at MK. Then she went on to ask if her one day two park ticket covered admission to MK. I turned away because I was laughing so hard and I couldn't handle the stupidity.

Me too please

Sorry guys! I just now saw this request! I can't remember if I found the backstory online, or it's in the Imagineers' Guide to Animal Kingdom. Either way, I'll do some digging and let you know......

This quote (see above in jme's original post) is a good summary of the backstory. My source (whatever it was ) elaborates a little more....... like I said, I'll find the source and pass it on.......

In Three Broomsticks:

Stupid lady 1: Hey let's go to Dumbledukes next!

Stupid lady 2: No, I think it's called Marmadukes.

  :pound: True story I swear! They also thought the Griffyndor Common Room wasn't in the FJ queue, and they rode it.

Just to play Devil's Advocate --- I like walking through Potterland wondering aloud, "Where's the Flight of the Gryfflepuff?" :) Always good for a dirty look or two.......

This isn't really a dumb quote but it was a funny one from a little kid. It was in Mexico at EPCOT.

Little Kid: Mom, where are we??
Mom: We're in Mexico, honey!
Little Kid: Is that why it's so hot?

A few weeks ago at Universal I called my Dad to ask him where in the park he was. What did he tell me? "Shark" (He was at Jaws). Is being foreign an excuse? Haha

I was walking by Terminator the other day, on my way to the Horror Make-Up Show when I heard this kid ask the other kids in his group where all the haunted houses were. ;) It's just a tad early for that...

Today, I was walking by Starbucks when someone asked me where it was. I'm sure he felt stupid after I pointed to it, lol.

:inquisitive: I didn't know people that stupid could even walk let alone travel and tour a theme park.
