Sometimes single rider becomes full and they shut it down. Or the line is too short and they will also shut it down then too.

Well, the regular line was 60 minutes. Being just by myself for a couple of hours, I had no interest in waiting that long. It must have been the first option I guess. A few other rides had single rider shut down as well. FJ was the only one I could take advantage of as a single rider.

EDIT: I lied, I got on HRRR via single rider too.

The line is at 45 minutes again...on a Saturday in the middle of July.

Lets look at the facts:
1. extended queue never fully filled
2. middling wait times during the parks busiest season
3. merchandise sales not up to projections
4. food/merch sales all around the park are down from last year and not meeting goals

I think its safe to say that yes, the crowds this summer were overhyped. It has now been proven that the huge extended queue, big budget/attendance goals, and blackouts of seasonal passes throughout the month of July were unnecessary and overblown. Love the ride, and it was obviously a success, but my point stands that Universal got a little carried away

It only tends to be 60-90 minutes on the days I go haha.

When I walked by yesterday "post" storm

75 mins for TF, singles out the door, express out the door
55 Mins for Simpsons
40 Mins for Disaster
120 Mins for DM
45 Min for MIB
45 Mins for Mummy
45 Mins for Rockit

Standing room only at FFB and Finns

Oh and one thing were forgetting is how often does Spidey have a full queue? This style of rides capacity is just well done and the 4 across seating always helps. Also have to mention the Studios can handle much larger crowds.

The only times I've seen Spiderman go out the door was the first weekend the ride had 4K (it was all the way in the extended queue) and the first weekend of June last month (only to the side of the building, nothing major)

I can tell you that both parks are up for the summer this year in attendance and guest spending. IOA might be experiencing a slight flat period, but usf is experiencing it healthiest summer in years. Just because queues aren't 3 hours long doesn't mean the crowds are not here. If you put into prospective that there are more team members helping with capacity, and more show times within the property, and also one addition high capacity attraction, then u have a more effiecent universal Orlando.

I went Thursday and the line was out the door and to the side of the building for Spidey and single rider was closed. Think it was a 75 minute wait.

^ I hate it when the single rider line is closed on Spidey. On the other hand, I hate it when the single rider line is stupid long. Great that the numbers are up for US.

I hate it when people take advantage of the single rider line, I used single rider for Spidey a while back and a dad freaked out when they were about to let his son go on without him. Like, can you not read or understand what single riders means? lol

I had to wait for the next car of Antarctica to be available so that a kid and his mom in single riders could ride together. Yeah got on my nerves.

This is false--guest spending is not up, and budgets are not being met.
Doesnt mean it isnt their healthiest summer, but still...

Also, the Spider-Man line has always been longer than what TF has been averaging throughout the summer, and it has a higher capacity.

You sure about that?

I highly doubt the elevators would have any effect on real world capacity. It most likely played some effect in simulations and calculations but due to delays with guest I doubt it even make a difference.
