I concur... :look:

And now... for an extreme Teebinism. The teapot with the red roses on the table in the window display was manufactured by Lefton China, a Chicago company who's products were made in occupied Japan. What in hell is it doing in Ye Olde Hogmeade???

I love that darling little fireplace! Wouldn't it be awesome if every now and again they had actors portraying Hogwarts students sitting at those tables and canoodling? Similar to the agents that used to sit at the desks in the MIB lobby.

I don't know if that would be possible. There might be some forced perspective used in the window display and I'm not sure people would actually fit in those chairs :P

^ I wonder if badlac was aware of what he wrote and how it sounded. I am sure he will let us know.

I am impressed with your investigative skills. How in the world did you figure that out? Are you a teapot connoisseur?

Story-wise, perhaps that was a gift from a Hogwart's student with muggle parents? Perhaps it was even a gift to Madame Pudifoot from Hermione Granger. I could see her being that thoughtful.

Well, perhaps if they cast very short actors to play the students (5'5 and under), and only have two of them sitting in the chairs closest to the window :)

Also, I'm starting to think that bunny cake is not going to feature interactive elements. It's so specifically themed to Easter. Wouldn't a less holiday-specific cake make sense as a year-round interactive addition?

And I stand by what I said. I've fantasized about icing a cake with my wand ever since I saw the opening scene of the Prisoner of Azkaban movie ;)

Because a family member has had the same exact pattern for decades. Because of this, I assumed it was a pedestrian piece, and asked them the manufacturer. Then I looked it up online this morning. Otherwise, I have no interest in china (or Japan as it were).

Something tells me I'm going to have a sweet tooth on Friday.

Also, this appeared above McHavelock's today:

Hmm, that's interesting. It replaced the hanging hat sign. I wonder if McHavelock's is moving to Diagon.

In these pictures from TouringPlans, there's clearly more to one of those flowers on the Easter cake than first meets the eye.

Looks like a lens for the rumored Kinect-type sensors.

No, McHavelock's stays. This is something magically interactive.

I took a walk over to the new cakes in the window today and that white cake is definitely going to do something. Up close the top of it looks like a piece of plastic. And the eggs and such of the Easter cake are just decorations and can't open or move.

Ahh, I figured as much. Just would have expected it to be hat-themed.

The new Honeyduke's opened today. From what I can see all the registers (now 4 of them) have been moved over to Zonko's leaving the original Honeyduke's as purely retail space.

These are from a video posted on Facebook.

This will be a huge help since there was always a line to get into the store and then once in another line to purchase your stuff. So 4 registers will move people thru the store faster meaning less of a line outside.

Looks good, but the ceiling looks a bit plain. As much as Zonko's may not have been a moneymaker, the theming was fantastic. Maybe there are a few more touches to come? Either way, this will be a major improvement in terms of traffic and capacity.

Thanks for the tips, Quint! Exciting stuff!

BTW, now that the Honeydukes expansion has opened, I am curious to know, do you exit out the Zonko's facade once you've paid at the registers, or do you have to turn around and exit out of the Honeydukes facade half?
