Fair enough.

I stand by that there are a few easy, relatively inexpensive things that could be done to vastly improve Dragon Challenge - you need a barrier for the ride, and the films/universe give you a ready-made one in the Quidditch Field. It's even approximately the right shape!

I get it, but lets never forget that this is Dueling Dragons. The one that was supossed to be located in Beastly Kingdom "land" at Animal Kingdom.

This is COMPLETELY false. Dueling Dragons was in no way, shape, or form supposed to be in DAK. This is a complete internet fallacy.

I love DD/DC. Two superb coasters. Would I shed a tear if they leave? Probably not. Do I mind if it stays? Nope. Do I mind bare coasters in theme parks? no, not at all.

:faint:Wow! I stand corrected then. It's what I heard since the day I got hired at UOR back in 99, by team members, not online "I got my internet access post AOL days". Plus you add the Dragon at entrance and original logo for DAK and I thought it was true.... then again, that coaster is way too much coaster for WDW to handle, so that's why I'm okay accepting it as a lie

One iteration of Dragon Tower was an inverted coaster. But it was a Disney ride. Meaning it was a typical Disney "mountain" type ride.

Sounds like you were subjected to someone trying to impress the newbie.

It's like someone working for Apple telling you the iPhone was supposed to be made by Microsoft but they employees left to work for Apple so Apple got the iPhone.

Or it's like talking to a WDW Bus Driver...

So, this is a fun development: I rode Forbidden Journey today, and the dragon is completely missing! Just a big, black tarp where it used to be. Also, every physcial scene before the Forbidden Forest has had it's lighting altered to be brighter...what, is everyone going to be wearing sunglasses on this ride pretty soon?

Did this ever get fixed?

I agree. I've noticed lately that sitting on the edge makes the other vehicles much more apparent at a few points. Maybe I just don't remember what it used to be like and it was the same, but seeing the ride vehicle is a bit more souring on this attraction then others because it's so unique/hard to tell it's even there/

Whomping Willow has not been working either, because of that you can see a lot of stuff. It is cool to see the rotating screams etc really :)

Screamscape is reporting the rumor that Dragons Challenge is next up for refurb after Hulk is done.
New train and paint some track replacement.Could they change the near misses to let it duel? Change the angles the trains are at so something launched from one train miss the other train or add side guard to new trains.

Hulk isn't getting a layout change and I doubt DD would either.

Would they use this opportunity to add new things, like Hulk?

A big DC refurb would be nice. Honestly, there's not much I'd do the coasters themselves. I'd concentrate efforts on redoing the queue and such to give the attraction an actual story and more to look at besides just caverns, also maybe working the metal detectors into the theme (such as "jinx detectors" or something so you're not cheating in the Tri-Wizard tournament, I don't know). Then I'd theme the outside surrounding the coaster to the Quidditch Pitch, with a field rather than dirt on the bottom and a few Quidditch towers along the side.

Hopefully they let them duel of they decide to rebuild which they said they would never duel again.

Or

They remove Dueling Dragons all together.

I hope they do change the color scheme of the coasters, the red and blue just sticks out waaaay too much in the land

In addition to refurbishing DC, I'd really like to see them cover up the show building for FJ. It sticks out like a sore thumb.

I remember in some HP concept art they had a triwizard looking stadium around DC...I wouldn't mind seeing them wrap add some towers and fake bleachers..plus the queue need more to it..
