That, and they're only worrying about one landowner, who is basically well under water. I'm just waiting for the tax and bankruptcy issues to come to a head for the other big UCPM III and FQP lots, mainly the one that includes the Mandarin and Kirkman ROWs and provides them with direct connection to Universal Blvd. As it stands right now, the big 340 acre lot (remember, other lots that make up the approx. 475 acres are spread across 11 disparate and smaller lots) has one edge that butts up to a road, and that is Destination Parkway across from the UCF Rosen dorms. Not an optimal roadway connection.

It is. The ROW is there for it and it is in the county's long range plans. If Universal went ahead with their plans before the road is planned to be built, the county planning devision said funds would be diverted to get the road finished by the time the new complex opens.

The Mandarin Drive Extension also is on this schedule.

Ummmm... I'm pretty confident they know exactly how to position Volcano Bay within their current offerings. I mean, having a true onsite resort water park is why it's being built in the first place. And announcing the 3rd gate would do little too nothing to effect press coverage of Volcano Bay, unless they were to announce it during VB press previews or grand opening... which won't happen.

So that explains why Kongs been at walls for the past month..i'm sure they can get this crate to there as soon as possible;

Speaking of location, I have a feeling we'll be seeing a decent price increase at CBBR once VB opens. All they have to do is tout the convenience to VB and on-site amenities and it'll still book solid.

I don't see them hiking the price up. The benifits of maintaining the low price point out way it IMO.

Maybe $10-20 a night during peak season, but I don't see it being anything drastic. Like Stitch said, the benefits of keeping it in the relative price point definitely outweigh the temptation of a money grab.

I think if there was any consideration of a price jump for Cabana Bay, Sapphire would not be priced as it is. They've painted themselves into a corner with hotel pricing, not that I'm complaining.

I just realized something I find kind of humorous... A year ago this time, the topic of a 3rd Gate was basically "sure Universal wants it, but there no land. It won't be happening anytime in the near future, so its pointless to speculate about it." Now we are discussing how long until the officially announce it! Just further proof of how much is changing for UOR, and quickly!
