The trackless Pooh attraction is in Tokyo Disneyland... And I think one is going in Shanghai as well.

Shanghai's is exactly the same as Orlando's, and yes, Tokyo is the trackless one

Are we going to start picking apart the carousel in Seuss next? I think Fallon will be a very satisfactory attraction. No park can be 100% mega attractions. Right?

I'm waiting to see the final configuration of the ride system. If it's as ancient as you're letting on, I think it's a wasted opportunity.

Ahhhh ok. I haven't been on top of Shanghai news aside from watching the Pirate's and Tron ride videos.

As far as the Fallon ride system is concerned, I think it will come down to how well the ride system integrates with the ride video. I've been on plenty of newer attractions that use older tech to great results thanks to the way it was implemented, and likewise new attractions with new tech that absolutely squander the potential.

What a waste on Shanghai's part. They had the opportunity to put in a great ride and they went for "meh, it's ok".

Honestly, that's how I feel about the majority of the Shanghai park I've seen. Outside of Pirates and the theming in that area of the park, I can't help but scratch my head and ask, "Where the hell did all that money go?"

On that huge fricken castle

Supposedly Shanghai's still got attractions to come over the next few years to make the government happy. An Alice dark ride, Everest clone and one more was mentioned.

To Pirates and all the theming around that area of the park? And weren't there reports of Disney requiring large areas to be rebuilt due to the Chinese subcontractors cutting huge corners due to the lax Chinese building codes? That had to take a chunk of money they didn't expect to have to fork over.

Sorry, totally off topic :shh:

A lot of foreigners from south america and central america type from what i could tell also MANY Europeans.. i think having twister closed and the other rides makes a HUGE difference. Wait times were unbearable. 90 min + for most rides and 50 min for Mummy (every time i've ridden it in recent visits its been 15 min) 40 min simpsons Gringotts was 50 but moved very quickly. I hope that Jimmy Fallons provides high capacity and moves relatively quick through crowds as this area of the park needs it most.

^ I am sure that US operations squawked about the closings but corporate just said deal with it. I think it affects locals more as they are not used to it.

Yea. Honestly, I'd rather deal with the next 4 years of closed attractions for the final product. It is what it is.

I like the spray painted "Stay" on one of the support beams. I don't know much about this ride but not everything can be Kong or Gringotts. I remember people complaining about receiving a duplicate of Transformers (which I will ride for the first time in three weeks). Rides this Fallon is shaping up to be are fun ways to sit down and enjoy the show.

Uni-Orl has spoiled us a little. Not that I'm complaining.

Remember I told you that a support beam was going to be removed? It seems they are being very careful about which one is messed with.

Oh yeah... Specially in this section of the park where there isn't much to do or see aside from the street shows. Even finngans was jam packed at 11 am

I'm perfectly fine with this ride. It's more F&F that i'm skeptical about.

Yeah, Saturday was the longest early/ mid May lines I've seen in the parks since I've been vacationing there every spring. Even Express waits were fairly long, and I've never experienced that before. They were more like Disney Fastpasses than Hotel Express. They really need more capacity, especially with all these attendance increases. I just can't see them shutting down Kidzone until they get more of the attractions up & running. (We waited more than 30 minutes for Simpson's via Express, as an example)

When did you go? We were there on May 11th and everything was a walk on except Spiderman, FJ, and the one coaster. Even Gringotts was a 10 minute wait. I am sure the few I saw at 30 minutes at other points were way less than 30 minutes. Like Spiderman was a walk on earlier in the day.

Gotcha weekend was busy because of the locals. Makes sense. Were all the other days pretty much what I experienced on Monday? It was awesome, to bad my daughter was not feeling well. We could have gone on stuff multiple times and still ridden everything we wanted. As it was we left way before closing.

But we all know I have said before I felt lines were longer with less capacity based on what I experienced in October and that was before everything was closed. I imagine it is worse now. I have always thought Studios was short on capacity.
