Is it odd that Jimmy makes me smile but Seth Meyers makes me laugh out loud.

Considering that Teebin mentioned that we'd be getting somewhat a version of the Rockefeller Building from New York, it makes sense.

I'd imagine that some forced perspective will be used similar to Cinderella Castle to make it appear taller than it is.

I'm hoping that this isn't just a flat structure, similar to the NY skyline in place at the end of road. That always annoyed me as a kid by how fake it looked. Given the location of the ride, they'll have to make it appear real to different views, from one The Mummy and one from the entrance.

They should rid of that terrible attempt at forced prospective with that NYC skyline near Rockit.

I still say a Rockettes Street show outside the theater would be great.

Looking at the facade they are already placing roofing panels on the bathroom side. Do we know how much higher the steel will go or is it gonna stop right where it is

I'll be back..

Edit: Ok; thinking about it more, what if the attraction has two layers to its façade?

zOGoLG1.jpg

Yellow = First two floors of the Rockefeller Plaza; including this façade apart of it..

You could possibly have in the holiday season live bands playing above the entrance of Race Through New York; much like how they used it in the past few years.

Cyan= Main portion of the Rockefeller building, You could add some depth to make sure that its not a mural; but it would also have at the point where it couldn't go any higher a light blue accent to the mural. Just a guess, but that would be my guess..

So for the top part it would have to be pretty tall or at least forced perspective tall to look like the 30 rock tower and not like a cube

In a way, it would actually be good to ask @Teebin to see if the attraction will have multiple floors of loading (like Simpsons/BTTF) or just one floor, because i'm starting to think of my assumptions a while back are true in a way. But, we'll see what happens I guess..it would be good to know how they'd do the 30 Rock tower.

That would make a pretty great hotel.

Edit: I've just realised that it would be boxed in my Rockit.

The second floor of the facade will be part of the queue, leaving you with the "functional windows" mentioned by Teebin.

If they added some small 3D accents to the side of the building á la Transformers, it would give some depth to the top portion of the soundstage.

I was at the Studios yesterday, and you can CLEARLY see the rounded-wall for a theater forming inside the show building.

If you look closely in the photo, you can see the supports in a curved shape of the (maybe first?) theater forming towards the front of the building:

I drew a red line on the google maps screen shot to show where it is:

Do you think it's going to be as wide as the building or possibly 2 separate screens#?

Yes, I think the screens are as wide as the original show building; the addition to the show building (where the disaster queue/pre-show used to be) might also be where the queue / preshow are for Jimmy Fallon, just all indoors. The second screen could be on the opposite wall/side of the show building as the one you can currently see from the front.

This is how I THINK it's going to work, I have NO INSIDE INFORMATION other than stuff I've read here and some common sense.

The green box is the addition to the current show building we have seen go up thanks to someone's helicopter pictures posted here previously.
The blue lines are the general flow for each theater from the pre-show area, to each theater, then to the presumed gift shop we've seen built where the old bathrooms were.
The red lines are the two screens for the two theaters.

Maybe Teebin can chime in on this? I don't know how to tag a user so if anyone could help me out, thanks!

Yeah, the screens are probably 2/3 the width if not a bit less. The seating is about 1/4 the width of the building. Screen locations are basically what you have but both are smaller and more towards the back of the building than the front. The queues take up a lot more space in front and much of it is up another level and into the green.
