Not nearly. It has a huge expansion opening next year and RoL opening.... sometime. It's still YEARS before anything opens at DHS.

I agree but if you were going to the parks tomorrow I still think that AK is in worse condition.

With Dinosaur currently down, the only ride I'd consider going on is Everest. A Bug's Life is about as appealing as Shrek, Kali River Rapids is just ok and Primeval Twirl is a joke. I've heard nothing but bad things about the Jungle Book night time show as well.

DHS isn't much better but to me personally, I find it a lot more appealing.

I agree that currently DAK is hobbling a bit. RoL being delayed really ruined their promotion for the park at night and Jungle Book, while it added something, leaves a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. I am glad that Dinosaur is getting a refurb before Avatar opens next year though. Hopefully Everest can finally see one once avatar opens.

True story: I was talking to a few of my CM friends that now work at DAK. They said that last week, they started closing parts of the park down early at 9PM (11PM closing) because there were only 81 people in the entire park. While I appreciate extended hours, it's clear DAK isn't ready for hours past about 9-10 yet. It still hasn't shaken the label that was put on it for 18 years now of being a half-day park. Disney is betting big that Avatar will completely change that, and RoL will only compliment.

That's insane!

I think Dinosaur gets a lot of hate but it's probably one of my favourite Disney rides.

I think Avatar is going to be one of the best looking lands in Orlando but hands down the best at night time.

Wow. 81 people in the entire park. I wonder how many fictional people TEA attendance inflators would count 81 people as?

Is AKs Dino just in maintenance right now? I scoff at all that just want to ride rides. Much like a major museum, I went to see the art and execution of it all at every theme park, and I would think about what I wanted to focus on.

Even with the new additions I just don't see enough to do to warrant staying in DAK for 12+ hours. 81 people is a stunning number. That has got to be a financial drain operating a park for 81 people.

I have a distinct feeling that after that sudden two-week refurb for RNRC later this year, the ride will only be "Rockin' Rollercoaster." No "Starring Aerosmith." What music they'll play in its place? I have no idea, but it could pretty much be anything they wanted.

But then why did they spend time and money "fixing" the video?

I kind of wonder if Steven Tyler might have objected to the changes in the video. He was pretty vocal about it on social media. Perhaps that ultimately led to a decision to remove Aerosmith.

It could just be that the merch wasn't selling well so they are switching to something new.

I kind of expect that if Aerosmith goes away they won't be replaced by another band but rather some Disney owned IP.

Guardians would by far be the easiest choice. Dark ride, glowing signs, heavy rock music. That'll take a week to switch over.
