Well hopefully they learned their mistake from the NES Classic and put it up for pre-order so they can have an idea how many they need to produce. But something tells me they already have a number in mind because they've stated they don't anticipate producing any beyond 2017.

So that might cause more of a frenzy now since it's known it's going to be a limited run. People probably held out on the NES Classic thinking it'd be more available after the holiday season

They haven't stated they're not producing any beyond 2017, they just wouldn't comment on whether they would be or not.

It wasn't about not estimating how many of the NES Classic to make, Nintendo deliberately made fewer than was needed because they obv don't want huge piles of money and they deemed only having a certain amount to be good business practice.

21 Games for $79 vs the NES Classic which was 30 games for $59.
They clearly saw all the money they left on the table- Although- this comes with two controllers- duh! :D

There were at least 9 filler games on the NES classic and this one includes a second controller with it. I say this is an even better value than the NES classic.

Yeah and all these games are on a bigger scale than the NES Classic. That had a lot of arcade games like Pac-Man and Galaga. I have no problem paying 80 for this.

I'm not even sure an N64 one would work. Those games are even bigger so what would a mini one have? 10 games? Maybe 15? Probably over 100 bucks. You'd probably be better off just buying an N64 because people would undoubtedly be upset with the lack of games it'd include

I don't think they'll be an N64 Classic anytime soon. N64 and up seems perfect for the Switch's Virtual Console

I agree with the issues surrounding a N64 Classic being pretty big ones to overcome, but I expect them to do it anyway. Especially since I think SNES Classic will end up being just as sought after as NES Classic(if not more), continuing the current trend of upvaluing old Nintendo games for the general public, and investors will want that to continue.

This stuff has primarily been about strengthening Nintendo's brand nostalgia for regular folks. Otherwise it would have all just been released on Switch.

N64 Classic might be hard because a lot of those games went up to 4 players in multiplayer. Nintendo is going to have such a hard time keeping the system itself in stock, imagine them trying to keep all thees controllers in stock.

LOL almost no retailers are going to take pre orders and be stuck with angry customers after what Nintendo did last time.

Yeah I didn't even factor that in. Forgot about that. I just don't see it working. Plus, Nintendo is gonna want people to sign up for the Switch online thing so I'm sure N64 games will be a big part of it.
