Mission:Space

Am I the only one who genuinely enjoys Mission: SPACE and is super excited for this to come back?

I like it! I don't know that I'd say I'm "super excited" for its update, but I'm glad it's gotten some attention. Coupled with the forthcoming restaurant, I think it's a pavilion and experience that belong in Epcot.

I'm hoping they can improve on the execution this time around. It was a bold swing by Disney that would actually fit into a purist's idea of EPCOT, which I think is important. If they can turn this ride into a success, that's a sign to the execs that IP isn't their only option in terms of how to move the park forward.

Hope they can fix the green version. In it's former state it was one of the most underwhelming and uninteresting attractions on property. The initial expectation is high. You see this huge impressive building, then you get in the queue & on the ride, and it's a pure nothing burger.

It's still going to be the same basic ride experience as before, but the film is changed. Chapek actually described it as "Soarin' around Earth" in those words.

My problem is that the outside of the attraction was so beautiful, but the actual attraction itself had a small video screen that had really bad graphics and it just took away from the entire thing for me. I'm hoping the new film will help solve that a little.

Think the exit hallway will still have Destiny - the one Epcot song no one likes?
I would say "Just throw on something from Horizons"...but the main theme from Horizon's is horribly dated imo. It's so obviously from 80's (even to those that would have no idea about Horizons).

That said, Destiny is very clearly an early 2000's creation based on the production alone.
