Oh god. Seeing those images is heartbreaking for me, as I’m a huge B&M fan with them taking up 8 of my top 10 roller coasters. Even though the two Dragon Challenge rides were my two least favourite B&Ms, they’re still B&Ms.

This is absolutely horrible to see, just such a waste of a perfectly good coaster...

Yeah, that touched a little nerve with me as well. I love my job but if we’re talking about dream jobs, I’d rather be the guy building the attractions than demolishing them.

How sure are we on this being for a crane? Based on today's installation, I believe it's for the castle show.

But that isn’t where they put that new owl roost is it? I am not sure anyone is sure of much of anything at this point.

It's on the other side of Hogwarts from that.

I'm not sure. The lighting rig/owl roost appears to be about 10'x10' square and maybe 15'-20' tall. That foundation looked a lot bigger than that, and based on where it's located, would have the Hippo and many trees between it and the castle. It probably wouldn't be tall enough, unless there are more owl roost pieces laying around.

Back to the owl roost photo, what is that metal box all about up on the grassy knoll? It appears to be some kind of temporary electrical junction box.

^"Owl roost" is already in place in front of the castle.

Allegedly, there are structural items including what looks to be completed scenic elements staged behind the recently poured foundation next to DC building.

I get what you are saying now. The location of that foundation does fit for the castle show. They just have to build taller.

And really, it would be a poor location for a tower crane for that plot unless everything was just in that one corner.
