It's been announced that DL and other theme parks in California can open under Phase 3. Pretty sure we're just making it up as well go along now.

Cirque was just given a lifeline, but will be in trouble if they can't find a way to open soon-ish:

It was being discussed in the Theme Park Reopening thread. It seems like CMs got this under better control as the morning went on with better distancing. They also started using a Virtual Queue system when you would be texted when you could come in.

Theme Parks & Shopping Districts Reopening General Thread

*mod edit* With Universal Orlando's CityWalk reopening on May 14, Disney Springs reopening May 20, and Disney owned locations reopening May 27, lets split out the discussion of theme parks and shopping districts reopening into a new thread. Discuss all the general information, details...

I love this. It seems like enough businesses aren't taking advantage of this hopefully once in a life time event.

Asian countries have been doing this for years without people falling over in the street. Apparently Americans are sooooo much weaker. :/

I mean this who Pandemic has made me think I hope to god we don't get invaded.

America's forever have said how strong willed we are...but we can't wear masks but think most would pick up arms and fight against an invading army? Lol

I thought people were much stronger than the way they have been acting, I miss theme parks, movie theaters and others outdoor things to but man some people are seeming to have meltdowns because they can't do whatever want for 3 months. They act like they have been trapped inside their house for years

Animation Production Charges Ahead as Pandemic Halts the Rest of Entertainment Industry

As the rest of the entertainment industry waits in limbo, animation production has continued at near full steam.

Animation is thriving while COVID effects the rest of the industry so this could very well increase investment in animation studios

Sometimes a writer can miss the forest for the trees, most literally... Not once does she mention the National Park being closed to cars and all NP services are shuttered. That IS the reason millions travel here, thousands of Mainers included.

Quiet Memorial Day a chilling sign for seasonal businesses

BAR HARBOR — Galyn’s Galley, a restaurant near the water on Main Street, lost about half its seating when the staff moved tables farther apart to comply with social distancing
www.mdislander.com www.mdislander.com

If you can park close to one of the gates, you can hike or walk the 47,000 acres of Acadia... but you are ON YOUR OWN. While many come here to hike and climb, the vast majority does not... they drive and want instant gratification.

That is the reason the town is dead just like International Drive has been dead for the past 8-10 weeks.

Dining in a bubble: Restaurants get creative in virus era

As coronavirus restrictions are eased, some restaurant owners are seeking to welcome back in-person dining, but in a way that adheres to social distancing rules while also trying to serve as many customers as health and safety rules allow.
