Um, how do we feel about these walls?

I'm in two minds about them.

It's disappointing from a guest in the land perspective. The dynamic of a coaster moving would be great and the viewing part will still allow the coaster fans to watch it.

From the coaster rider perspective, it makes complete sense. I'm not sure if the spaghetti bowl is meant to be a contained area like a raptor pen but the walls will remove you slightly from being in the 'guest area' of the land.

But it does open up the possibility to make it feel like a real raptor enclosure. Throw in some raptor sound effects and have the tops of a few trees shake occasionally just over top of the wall. Plus the grand entrance for the raptor encounter as previously mentioned.

If done well I think it could increase the immersion to the average guest walking by.

If they start planting a ton of trees and some that randomly move, mix in the sound of raptors with the trains flying past and the guest screams, you create a real unnerving effect.

It also adds a little mystery about what to expect from the coaster.

Is there going to be any room to plant vegetation or is the pathway just going to go up against the wall?

There will be a boat load of planting to soften the wall.

I think it’s important to remember that, even the original Jurassic Park, the raptor enclosure was the only enclosure that had high walls and a viewing platform. The raptors were always too smart to just “expose” to guests.

Man I sure hope there's some greenery going in front of those walls.
Yikes.

Well, I think about how every electric fence the land has ever had has had trees and bushes between it and the walkway thus far.

You have to think that there will be a statue of each of Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo at this point. They won't stop at 3.

There are rumors for up to 8 figures total. (I’m sure some may be repeated, like the ones in muzzles near the queue,) but I’m hoping we see at least one for each of the 4 members of the Raptor Squad!

I’m hoping we get something like this with those walls.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot unsee that lighting as being a raptor head popping out of the left hand gap in the maintenance building near the cage curving round the corner.

Where it looks to be biting the corner of the cage?

The rumor was 6 of them have at least some movement. Two don’t.

Thems the rumor anyway.

Honestly, not too worried about some of the design decisions till we can see the final product.

A buckbeak style head rotate would be effective in this super fast attraction.
