Universal's Epic Universe Construction Thread

The hotels will be spread out along Universal Blvd and Kirkman. The parking lot can be turned into garages and the ponds moved to create space for another park later.
I'm sure it could be done, but they would probably only have space for a smaller than average dry park, and no space left over for a water park. Which begs the question of why they made Epic Universe and the backstage area so big.

And it's not like they can just make the drainage ponds go away.

I'm still confident the hub will be CityWalk for this resort and open to the public after a certain time. Currently CityWalk is dead space until about 4pm and only kicks in high gear at 8pm. The separate lands (worlds) can be rented out for after hour event and all the space will be used all the time. It would be a much better use of their land.
When they want another park they could mirror it and have one huge hub with additional lands (worlds) but giving the whole thing another theme.

We should probably take this to the speculation thread.

Anyone have any insight into project number 900 for Epic? It seems like 901 is for all of the restaurants and shops, and 900 so far only has two permits that I can find...

My theory is that they have the two possible attractions for the hub listed as P900, and everything else as P901.

That would make sense.

While they're still working (slowly) on infrastructure around the site, just outside the property near the Universal Boulevard construction entrance/parking lot there is a Chick-fil-a going up very quickly right next to the new 7-11. I'm sure both will be very popular with the construction workers...

Is there anything visible from the Shingle Creek biking/walking trail between Destination and Sand Lake Rd? (There's a small parking area for the trail next to the Home2 & Holiday Inn Express and the bridge on Destination). But it looks like the trees may be blocking most of it from maps.

Correct - just trees.

It looks like the Google satellite photos were updated fairly recently (at least since the last time I checked them out a few months ago).

There's a good shot of the nursery on site where it looks like they're growing a bunch of trees for the park: Google Maps

Just need @Teebin to identify the species and where they'll be positioned in the park now... :D

UPDATE: I don't know the exact date of the photos, but it's sometime since August 10th of last year because I can see the new shingles on my rood which were installed August 10th.
