Hello From Scotland

Hello all. I’ve been an avid reader of these forums for a few years now and thought it was time to actually sign up and join in.

Like everyone from this side of the pond, I’ve been missing the Orlando parks and been really hoping that travel opens up again soon. Got a trip booked for September that was rebooked from last year, so just waiting with fingers & toes crossed that travel resumes and we can go. Would hate to miss out on HHN 30.

Pretty much a fan of all the parks but Universal Studios is probably my favourite and I can quite easily spend a day there just taking in the atmosphere and watching the shows without actually going on a ride. Best park for having a quiet down day in an otherwise packed holiday schedule.

Anyway, hello from me.

Welcome! It must be nice to have a trip to look forward to. USF will be prime and ready for ya for a relax day! I agree though, I find IOA super busy and more difficult to sit and relax in, plus there aren’t any shows. With Bourne, Horror Makeup, Animal Actors, all the street shows, tribute stores, etc, plenty to do in USF to just relax. IOA is my preferred park but USF is where we probably spend the most time honestly. Anyways, welcome aboard!

I do the exact same. I go to Islands to do stuff but it feels claustrophobic so I go over to studios to chill.

Thanks for the welcome!

It's so up in the air if we'll get to go, so whilst we're making all the usual plans & reservations, we're well aware it most likely will all have to be cancelled again. Strange times for everyone.

Not seen the Bourne show yet but absolutely love the Horror Makeup Show. That never gets old and I enjoy seeing all the different cast members and wondering who we'll get & what combination for the show. Was nice to see a few new cast members last time we were there in 2019. Seems a lifetime ago now.

Yeah, my 2 day fall 2019 trip doesn’t even feel like it was within this decade lol. Going on Hagrid’s feels like forever ago. Bourne seems super cool and has nothing but good reviews from what I’ve seen so you’re in for a treat along with Velocicoaster if you’re a coaster fan!

Here's hoping we're nearly at the end of the tunnel and we'll all be back enjoying the parks, both new attractions & old favourites, again soon.

Hopefully! With my financial situation changing over the last year, I am trying to save for a big January 2023 trip so I can go all out, but, next summer I’m sorta feeling I may want to go, we shall see!
