Killer Klowns is possibly the maze I'm most interested of, because it's possibly in TWDA. I wonder if it might give Hollywood's team the chance to do larger scale effects, like Klownzilla to full justice. As @rageofthegods has said, this is the first time where Hollywood's method of IP/Brand-Originals takes the precedence.

La Llorona (Which i'm happy if that's the case), Scarecrow, Mummy, and The Weeknd makes for 4 out of the remaining 3 mazes to be sharing that IP-Original trend that Hollywood has opted to do. And I'm honestly here for it.

Shoot, I didn't think about them finally doing Klownzilla justice. It would've been nice if they....you know....did it right the first time.

But even though KKfOS is a repeat, they can at least finally do Klownzilla right and we can see a new venue be utilized. HHNH has really badly needed a new indoor venue so I'm glad they have one finally.

Interesting! Admittedly not really interested in Killer Klowns since it feels like we just had it. Would love a Mummy maze!

I agree. I've been through both versions of La Llorona so I'm a little "eh" about seeing that again despite the last incarnation being a decade ago....wait, has it really been that long!? Crap. Well, I guess I can't fault them too hard for bringing back La Llorona.

I don’t get how the exclusives work? We get Nope, but ORL gets Fear Street/Last of Us? The only shared one is The Weeknd? Someone will have to explain that one to me, especially the Fear Street/Nope situation.

Overall I like the map. If accurate, the expedited construction we’re seeing makes sense. KKFOS going back to Mummy; the UCM maze going back to Parisian; La Llorna in Curious George. They already have all the infrastructure to make those go, and it will free up time later in the year to work on the new stuff.

Another thing I realized is that this year doesn't have any "heavy hitter" IPs like I thought they would. What's even more shocking to me is how some of the IPs I thought for sure would be shared (Fear Street/TLoU) aren't being shared! Interesting.

I am happy that more "creative" content is being prioritized for the event this year. Other than KKfOS and La Llorona, the line up doesn't sound bad this year. It's definitely a riskier year.

Another thing I want to bring up is that SS 29 could potentially be the best house of the venue. The fact that Jordan Peele will likely be involved for Nope give me hope he'll make sure they don't put some black walls in there. Heard that Peele was not happy with the original pitch for Us because it had too many black hallways. I think Nope will be good.

Mummy queue is for sure something else specifically, but I won't mention it here cause it was a very big leak.

I may be wrong but I'm inclined to believe KKFOS will be an original sequel rather than a repeat...

That'd...be kind of a big thing to talk about. Murdy has expressed interest in doing it as an original sequel, so it'd make sense--but I wonder just how involved the Chiodo brothers would be. Especially given the fact that their SYFY film hasn't come out yet (or rather, that seems to be in limbo).

Also makes it completely unpredictable, and again, adds another IP-Original to this year's lineup that is leaning much more heavily towards exclusive original concepts and IP-Original concepts. Consider me estatic, if that's the direction they take.

If this line up comes to fruition, it definitely sounds better than last year….but kinda disappointed about the return of KK and La Llorona. I imagine La Llorona will be pretty similar to the last incarnations but with more black walls.

With Karen Irwin gone to Orlando, expect a bigger budget. I've heard that they're gonna have just that this year, especially with last year's numbers. Karen's budget cutting was a big part of the black wall thing.

Anyways, if this is the final list it just feels weirdly incomplete? Like maybe one or two more solid, headlining mazes and I think this would be a pretty great lineup.

Seems like the crowd here is more positive than on Twitter like usual, but damn can I say I'm super excited for both coast lineups? Like, Nope, KKFoS, and Weeknd excite me to no end. Plus evil dead?! And the return of prob the best original in LA Llorona! Plus another sequel in a line of great mazes with the Universal Monsters Mummy, our own semi icon in Hollywood Harry, annnd another original! I cannot wait!

I also did the 2011/2012 versions and I enjoyed them! It’s been long enough that I’d be curious to see their take on it now.

Posting this is the equivalent of getting up in front of the school and yelling, “Attention everyone! I know someone is selling some good weed! Please come forward to me so I can buy some! I won’t tell the principal or tell the cops! I promise!”

I hope we’re not getting more of the same with Hollywood Harry this year. Like “Deadtime stories” or whatever it was called was cool and all but what’s he got in store this year? Are we gonna see an expansion of lore? Maybe characters from his former television show will join him?

This sounds like such a 2011-esque lineup when you think about it.. and under similar circumstances..

Coming off a year full of repeats? Check

A music IP maze? Check

An upcoming Universal sci-fi/horror movie? Check

A returning clown-based cult classic IP? Check

La Llorona? Check

A reinterpretation of a famous Universal Monster? Check

An incredibly gory IP? Check

Considered it for a while, and this question is a good one for Orlando..but,

The Weeknd. Might the guest reactions convince Universal to do Daily nights for both Orlando and Hollywood? The traction his two posts made is larger than a vast amount of what HHN on both coasts, have tweeted. If not daily nights, then expanding it to be Tuesday-Sunday's every week?

Every time we have this conversation, we need to consider how you will staff the event. Actors can barely make it through a 5-night run in Hollywood. Add Tuesdays - or daytime slots - and you'll need to double cast most roles.

They'll just increase ticket prices and sell more Express.
