I feel like @Alicia reported this a while back. I may be wrong, but I thought this was the second idea, and they have already moved on to a third?

Just build it!

Potter sounds great, I’m very excited for the rumored AA’s they’re adding.

I was under the impression we were just getting two structures along the path towards the dark ride, the restaurant and a shop (if the coaster hasn't consumed that space), not really a defined town "street." It's always possible I've misunderstood something, or can't decipher the site plan properly. Also, the leaked concept art for the restaurant and drink stand/bar further back in the land do not really match the aesthetic of the Hollywood street sets. Granted, that art could be old or could have gone unused.

Nobody will be more thrilled than me if the land does look like that, though.

If UC really let that slide I'm really disappointed. It not only sounds confusing but just force fed for the sake of extending the Wizzarding World IP. Of course, it's just a rough explanation and I'd have to see how it would be executed but nothing about it sounds all that impressive...

I actually don't mind the idea of Paris being the front just so they can differentiate it enough from the London waterfront...it would just feel awkward being in (non-wizarding) London again when we're in reality much further away from Hogsmeade. (Also I'm not one to say no to a French restaurant!)

Sorry if that sounds rough lol. I would prefer "modern" (re: 90s-early 00s) Paris though. It's not like the Wizarding Worlds as is are a beacon of continuity.

Sounds like -- based on this write-up, anyway -- that the ride might essentially be the park's version of Jurassic World Adventure from Beijing. Which could be fun! Hopefully slightly fewer screen-based moments than that ride.

I'm not sure I believe that plot, though.

I would be kind of disappointed if the loading area is exactly like Gringott's where you can see the ride vehicles--the elevator room is supposed to be a rotunda after all, they could easily do that with the rumored ride technology.

Everything else about it sounds excellent though--ESPECIALLY the plot! Holy crap, this is what I've always wanted to see from Wizarding World from the beginning!

I’m gonna be real here: this ride still doesn’t sound anywhere near as good as the trackless concept. Really sorry to see they wussed out of doing a proper trackless dark ride for the Potter IP.

A trackless ride based around the ending to Order of the Phoenix would be ideal. The set pieces from the different rooms and culminating in the final battle in the archway room would be amazing. Not sure how they would handle the characters though. That would be a ton of animatronics and special effects.

And I don't think a pepper's ghost effect would work with a trackless ride.

I would agree BUT how would they get courtroom seats into elevators lol. The theme of the ride vehicle being an elevator makes so much more sense is all.

I guess? I’m not a super avid Potter fan so I’m having a hard time visualizing what this would look like.

Again just make it look like we’re boarding an elevator and give me everything else as described in that post and I’ll be on cloud nine.

If youre having trouble visualising, maybe watch this 5 month old video about the same ride rumours?

There have been ALOT more imports from Mack the past couple of weeks.

The main thing I see is the jump from 97th to 6/5/4, and then the imports labeled "Project 1". Maybe they're all different? Maybe they were incorrectly labeled like that? Guess we'll have to see.

That's interesting. That's way more detailed than importyeti.com.

Where did you find this if you don't mind me asking?

If the central hub ride is a Mack Twist n Splash, I could imagine that being project 1.

I would assume Project 1 is the dual track coaster. Especially if those crates are heavy.

Just to move the discussion to the correct thread.

The good thing is, unlike opening a single uber popular new land, they are opening a whole park. That alone will spread the crowds.

It’s going to be almost surreal to have a new park. When a new ride opens, everybody flocks to that ride but to have a new park where everything is new with evenly distributed crowds is going to be nice and a refreshing change.
