So apparently the food truck show is an improv hip-hop show or something? I'm still shaky on the details. And I'm not sure what's going on with this Sting Alley tumblers thing. I've heard it's happening, and I've heard it's not.
The Sing It show is a pretty solid combo of the show and a capella music. I only saw a small snippet, but the crowd was engaged.
Beat Builders, which I saw in its entirety, is about as hokey as you'd expect, but definitely drew a crowd. The parts with the drummers on the construction equipment are better, IMHO, because you can see everything, as opposed to when they're on the street and there's nothing to see if you're not in the front.
The other major thing I noticed is how, when they're playing without backing music, I think it's better than when they have music piped in. It sounds too much like they're backing the recorded music instead of the other way around.
