Avatar is better and I think Web-Slingers is a great arm workout, so I'm actually pretty happy over here.

EDIT: I would be curious to know whether porting over the Peter Pan ride vehicle for this attraction makes us less likely to get Flight of Passage.

To me, this HK announcement confirms the Avengers E ticket is happening. Now they just got to bring the goods at D23 by announcing an actual ride name, additional concept art of the ride and queue areas, and an opening time window.

Over on WDWMagic a user shared a screenshot of a FB comment relaying they heard from a cast member that the Doctor Strange show was temporarily halted as Disney is planning on starting construction on the Avengers E ticket soon and there would be a lot of foot traffic around the construction and show which Disney wants to avoid.

The news coming out regarding a Marvel expansion for HKDL and trusted insiders on WDWMagic like Mystic Henry saying the Avengers E ticket will get an official announcement at D23 make me much more optimistic this go round. Third times the charm they say.

That was me : ) also this week there were what looked to be like two techs and an imagineer writing things down and examining the area near where the ride is supposed to go. Also take this with an even bigger grain of salt but apparently the Dr strange sanctum is going to be used as the entrance queue

I believe if this thing really is going through this time, they are waiting until after D23 to break ground as to not reveal their hand before the event.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, either right before d23 or shortly after d23 is over. Also interestingly enough the sanctum is the only part of the campus that changed in the new concept art (in the picture below). It looks like people are walking into a portal where the sanctum currently is. Also someone pointed out that the path connecting the campus to cars land could be easily re routed to the other side of the sanctum.

The only “proof” I have are hints that Disney has given. Like when the ride was announced Disney showed the sanctum with a pink mist specifically. Then it’s the only area of the campus that changed in the new concept art. But like I said this is all speculation, it’s possible they could just be turning it into an interactive area instead.

Like you said they could very well just be going with the originally planned queue meant for the quinjet ride. Another user did point out though that Disney could easily re route the path to the other side of the sanctum. I think it could happen since so far after the show being cancelled it seems like the sanctum is just going to sit there empty for a long time.

I am hoping we hear more or see progress on this soon. But I think we probably won’t see or hear anything until this years d23 in August. There I finally expect them to announce a lot more info on this. I just hope it’s not like last years “here’s a vague piece of concept art for the new ride see you next year!”

I believe there was a silence your cell phones ad with Deadpool and Wolverine. In the ad Deadpool said "This is what happens in Secret Wars," before his cellphone goes off cutting him off. The X Men will undoubtedly have a big presence in Avengers 5 and Secret Wars. Plus with rumors of 60 past characters returning for Avengers 5 chances are the scenes for the ride will be filmed alongside the movie.

Hopefully at the parks panel they will officially announce the name of the attraction, concept art for the ride and queue, and an opening window. My money as of now is on 2027.
