I don’t think that’s the narrative at all from what I’ve seen.

A few saying it contains screens isn’t indicative of the entire social media.

I opened my TikTok just now and my (largely positive!) feed’s third video was “New Harry Potter Ride 6/10 too many screens”.

In all fairness the ride does not translate well to video at all, and I think most of the ride’s strongest fans agree. I’m just challenging the opinion that social media is 100% positive on Ministry.

I mean even on here everyone wasn’t completely positive on it.

Attractions like these are definitely are hard to translate on video I agree with you on that.

Definitely — and there’s no way to know the majority opinion.

But to this thread’s recent thesis: I’m not sure how significant the social media comparisons are. I really doubt the majority of Infinity Defense’s riders are going to be thinking of Monsters Unchained.

The vast majority of social media was strongly anti Gringotts when it opened, even after the mechanical/technical breakdowns were solved. . Constant complaints that it wasn't the full scale coaster that coaster fans expected. Now it's a very popular attraction with USF's longest lines, even though it's high capacity. Heck, a majority of the negative ride comments are from people who rarely, or never, make it to a theme park. They're thirty year old POV cowboys, sleeping on their parent's basement couch.

eh, gringotts is a pretty flawed attraction with an incredible queue and in the best themed land in the world. i think it’s unfair to dismiss these criticisms out of hand … unless they haven’t been on the ride, of course.

My critique of Gringotts definitely isn't that it's not enough of a coaster.

It's that it's too much another Transformers (itself already a redundant attraction at Universal Orlando). And I don't think it does anything notably better* than the antecedent attractions from which it is basically derived (Spidey/Transformers and Revenge of the Mummy). Except the queue.

*As an overall experience, I'd rather have it than Transformers, of course.

I think Hagrids changed my love for Gringotts as it gave me everything I was missing…more rollercoaster. Now I feel I enjoy Gringotts more for what it is, and it’s a ride that’s climbed and continues to climb my faves.

Any excitement or interest with this new ride is non-existent. Spidey was a terrible addition. The land itself is a waste of space. And the most offensive thing of all was Tower of Terror's death (although I do enjoy the haunt season "Monsters After Dark" overlay)

They should've just opened this ride with the land instead of only Spidey. But eitherway, it's hard to be excited when IOA's MSHI still exists with 4 great diverse rides.

Disney's Marvel track record for the west coast doesn't give me much faith in this expansion

Expectations are set below sea level (or lower)

Sure, but that’s a different claim.

It’s crazy to me that the guest reaction to Avengers Campus seems to almost have been the inverse of Galaxy’s Edge — people love the entertainment and seem to be kind of meh on the rides.

Hopefully this will turn that around because I doubt the Stark Flight Sim is going to move the needle. That one seems more like a use for some R&D than an actually fleshed out experience.

Just one man’s opinion.

Many people have the belief that Stark Flight Lab was the underlying ride system for the originally planned quinjet attraction.

The land overall is definitely not good (and I hated WEB Slingers), but i remain excited for the Avengers E-Ticket. It's definitely a downgrade from the original plans but i'm sure it will still be a great ride.
