Quick update and check bios' new pictures. Basically, tons of moving lights is being installed on almost EVERY BUILDING ROOF in Epic Universe, including Helios. The permanent arrangement of moving heads is the largest scale we've seen in Universal so far.

These are really good 'plus' low budget add ons. Nice evening kinetic energy and ambiance.

The upgraded fountains offer a surprisingly significant boost in the visual interest and kinetics of Celestial Park. The variety of patterns and sequences, number of different nozzle settings, angles that the water can spray, increased fluidity in movement, and strength / height of the streams makes up for the initial low-energy nature of a lot of the land. At least, a lot more than I ever could've thought.

Much of the foliage and greenery that went brown and grey during the Freeze of '26 earlier this winter has been replaced or nursed back to health, and so much of the park looks very good currently. The trees have already grown in a noticeable amount, so it's increasingly clear that within a few years, many of the rougher skylines and unshaded elements will cease to be.

I do agree with the notion that many of the more unflattering areas of Celestial Park would be improved with a more detailed floor pattern. The grey concrete does not do it many favors, very similar to UKR, while the few bits of genuine paving and renderings throughout like the Mario 64 Sun Mural in front of Stardust Racers, the comet-styled plaza between Stardust and Potter, and the Astronomica Splash Pad's compass theming and colors do a lot to make the land pop.

I think once we see a Parade arrive, a lot of this lands' deficiencies will be minor quibbles. Shading is growing at a decent pace, entertainment is hopefully on the way soon, and the fountains already have made the massive lagoons significantly more interesting to watch as you make the trek between lands.

Yes, amazing the landscaping recuperation done through all the Universal parks and hotels. We were there in March after the freeze turned huge sections of the parks and hotel resorts, brown and dead. The two weeks we just came back from, you'd never know there was a devastating freeze. Universal does need to do some temporary fixes for Celestial until the trees grow large enough to provide shade. In that 95 degree heat we couldn't find any shaded benches. Hot sun beat down on every bench we spotted. We always had to retreat into a restaurant where tables were empty to try to cool off. Celestial is absolutely beautiful, but it needs some type of temporary shade, big time until the trees mature.

This. Every time I'm in Celestial Park, I get more annoyed and like it less and less. It's too darn hot, it's so wide open with large swaths of barren concrete to walk through, and I just can't help but be annoyed that they keep trying to sell this as a themed land. It's so much more pleasant at night when the sun is down, everything is lit up, and it's more comfortable to lounge around the steps by the fountain.

A more general question for folks - Do you consider the restaurants part of Celestial Park? Not in terms of location, but fitting into the overall theme and story. To me they feel separate since the theming and level of detail is so drastically different from one another. It feels like City Walk with various themed places such as Toothsome, Big Fire, Antojitos, etc. The buildings are physically located there, but they mostly have unique theming that I struggle to see fitting in with the vague story and theming of the exterior parts of Celestial Park. Whenever I've asked people who've been to Epic for the first time what they liked most about Celestial Park, they always answer with one of the restaurants. Never anything outside, in the actual "land".

Isn't Celestial Park supposed to be a "hub" for all the different universes/worlds? So people from different worlds came to Celestial Park to build their own stuff representing where they're from?

Been to Epic three times, and unfortunately, I tend to agree. One of my main complaints is Celestial Park is too big. I remember feeling like there's just a ton of dead space and walking for no reason. Maybe it'll be less noticeable in 10 - 15 years as the trees are matured, but I don't think trees (alone) are going to solve all the problems

No, the park was always marketed as having 5 themed worlds. And even if you knock it down to that - a hub where the Celestians come to build places that remind them where they're from, that still hardly cuts it. Most the structures are generic, concrete with a colored metal roof, unique sign, and a few other design elements thrown in. Compared to other entrance lands of most other theme parks that claim to be themed, CP is so lame. And it extends all the way through the park . I want to love it every time I'm in there but I just struggle to so much.

The extra wide pathways for a parade that may or may never happen is to blame for it feeling too wide open and not being able to have shade structures. Other parks with wide pathways like that usually have taller structures on either side which helps it feel more intimate and the area filled out, but CP doesn't have that. Further into the park beyond the shops in the front and Atlantic, it just feels like a nice outdoor shopping mall. It's so unappealing to be in and myself and others I've been to the park with always actively try to spend as little time in it as possible.
