Meh, while I prefer "Duma," the name is okay IMO (maybe because I started getting used to it). I still think they could have come up with a better name though. :P

The name could possibly still change, it could just be an early placeholder?

THIS QUESTION. SERIOUSLY.

It's named after a cheetah; it better go as fast as one.

Nope... I am sad too.

I just stumbled across a new trademark filed in August. Don't think its been posted yet:

Cheetah Trail? Must be the trail that cuts the cheetah exhibit in half. There is going to be a little kids crawl in there as well, like what they have near Jungala in the tiger exhibit.

Great images. The Artist impression look similar to the ones Seaworld created for Manta. They really nail it when it comes to converting concept to reallife, so I am really looking forward to this.
From what I can recall, the process of building and communication is also quite simular to Manta. Manta had track on site mid September and the first track was in place late September. Will we be seeing the same for Cheetaka?

From one of the teasers we were informed "things will start going 0 to 60 here real soon" implying the first launch will go 0 to 60 mph. As for the other launches, who knows? I would love it to exceed 80 mph and it does seem possible with multiple launches.

Well I am disappointed but I assume were getting a top speed of 70 MPH with a launch of 0-60 MPH? Oh and can you confirm if the second and or third launch will be from a standstill or more along the lines of boosters.

Honestly not sure about the launches. If you look at the distance between the first launch and the second one, there is just not that much track. The documents we have simply don't tell us about the launches, but one would have to assume the first one will only be like 0-45 and the rest will be boosters. That is pure speculation at this point, I doubt we will know for sure until next month sometime.

Thanks for the quick reply, lets hope the minimum is 0-60 and no less than 12 minutes of air time.

I'd like to see this thing do some high-in-the-sky manuevers then the rest be ground hugging, airtime packed animal fly-bys. I would pull a violaplayer if this thing had constant speed, air, and near-misses with various things.
