I'm always a little puzzled how a "soft opening" for an escape room facility even works. "Hey, come on in and pay $50 for something that isn't officially open yet?"
As for the Nintendo store... it's arguably in Nintendo's best interest to open a standalone location somewhere other than Universal property, as they're already well-represented there between the land itself and the heavy merch presence throughout the park and Citywalk. It's in Universal's best interest to open a Nintendo World location in Citywalk to drive traffic to their shopping district. Make of that what you will.
