Oh hell... BT21 aka the BTS characters!

Citywalk needs a Korean BBQ restaurant. (Or we could just get EU's "Blue Dragon" (wishful thinking)

Dude get out of my head! I literally thought at one point how awesome it would be if City Walk would have its own KBBQ restaurant! Some brisket and beef bulgogi would go HARD before HHN!

End of an era. First food I ever consumed on any Universal property almost twenty years ago.

I’m really sad about this… I love CityWalk. The hotels will revitalize it a little bit, but idk. Most people really do just treat it like an extended entrance to the park and don’t bat an eye at the stores. The price of parking certainly doesn’t help either.

It’s crazy that Hollywood is probably CityWalk’s best iteration, too. I honestly wonder why Universal was never able to crack the code — is it really just parking?

it’s an outdoor mall filled with chain stores in an area with significantly more interesting options. and unlike downtown disney or garden walk, there aren’t dozens of hotels within a short walk. that might change when the hotel gets built, but I’m not surprised it’s struggled.

While it is always a bummer to hear (what I believe is) an original tenant to be closing, in a way, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. Unless I'm mistaken, wasn't it originally more of a novelties and toys store that also happened to sell candy? Like, maybe about a 50/50 split? And as time went on, the candy totally took over, then they added the donuts.

Which always struck me as an odd business direction to go with all candy, especially with the much larger It's Sugar just a few doors down, and (for a while) Toothsome's Candy shop as well. I mean, how many candy stores does one mall need?

But do love the sign and vibes

Don’t they make the mini donuts too? Or is that someone else?

Crepe Cafe already has permits for it's replacement--so it makes sense that B&J's will be going out sooner than later.

Honestly had it not of been for the new store replacing Fossil, my mind wonders if they could look at having the USH store be relocated to being entirely in the cluster of Billabong, Popcornopolis, and Tilly's. Making it essentially the "Flagship" store like how UOR's is now.

What is the replacement for Crepe Cafe? And for that matter, Fosil?

Also, is anything for the old Howl at the Moon space dead in the water? There's been zero movement there ever since it closed, and that was years ago.

Not to mention the old Karl Strauss location? Man, there is so much unused space there going to waste.

Wow

Citywalk is finally completely changing

Never thought I’d see so many stable locations closed

Feels like many if these have been around for over 20 years

Crepe Cafe's replacement is The Halal Guys. Permits were filed for it last month, and I am trying to find out when it closes. Fossil's is a Korean based IP group of specialty merchandise. HATM is right now unclear, but hopefully P515 reinvigorates it to become our Red Coconut, and uncertain on Karl Strauss.

I've said this to @ethanuniversal that I think Karl Strauss is Slice House, because of the configuration changes made towards that of the venue when Starbucks moved there, but so far nothing.

Feels like I'd want a sign telling you last chance for the last month at least

Maybe it doesn't matter with another location over by Ontario?
