While it is always a bummer to hear (what I believe is) an original tenant to be closing, in a way, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. Unless I'm mistaken, wasn't it originally more of a novelties and toys store that also happened to sell candy? Like, maybe about a 50/50 split? And as time went on, the candy totally took over, then they added the donuts.
Which always struck me as an odd business direction to go with all candy, especially with the much larger It's Sugar just a few doors down, and (for a while) Toothsome's Candy shop as well. I mean, how many candy stores does one mall need?
