Having worked in a Mexican restaurant that served fajitas I can tell you with some authority that the place gets filthy between the grease and smoke and the greasy layer of dust on everything in the place.

I wouldn't worry about the Orlando Margaritaville - it's consistently busy and has a much more prominent location.

Huh? While Universal could conceivably want to add more restaurants they fully own, control, and profit from, they aren't paying royalties to Margaritaville... they're charging and receiving rent.

Oh really? I thought Universal owned all the restaurants there as franchises and just paid royalties. I thought that's why restaurants like Antojitos and big fire came into existence, so Uni didn't have to pay anyone and made all the money.

But really, even if they are paying Uni for the space, isn't it still better for Uni to own the restaurants and have their own brands there? Are they paying more in rent than Uni would make running the restaurant themselves?

Universal owns that CityWalk orlando location as a franchise, so they are paying a royalty on it

Also have to keep in mind the Margaritaville franchise fee is probably worth it due to the brand recognition and popularity of the concept

News to me. I'm sure they would ditch it at the first opportunity if it wasn't doing gangbusters for them, and it always seems packed.

There's currently a healthy balance of original concepts and franchises, and I imagine they want to keep it that way for the foreseeable future.

Yes. Those have ruined many a planned night at CityWalk. There's never a warning that the best part of the entertainment area is going to be shut down for some company's private event.

Didn't see it posted here yet but Hemisphere Flyer is coming back May 10th and there seems to be an event going on at CityWalk for it.
