Cybergoria (HHN 35)

I very much like they're going for a body horror, corporate takeover route rather than full Terminator-AI apocalypse. It feels much more unnerving and genuinely grim.

Gives XS Tech vibes.

Until you said that, I didn’t even put that together but it absolutely has some System Shock vibes to it. I’ve felt like they’ve done a few houses inspired by either BioShock or System Shock, without actually having the rights to do those (but man, BioShock is the absolute pipe dream, #1 most wanted house of all time).

One thing I noticed is that the jaws on these guys in the concept art is extremely unsettling. I expect to see a lot of weird human/machine hybrids but wasn’t sure how that would ultimately look. I’m sure it’ll be even worse in the house (in a good way).

Until you said that, I didn’t even put that together but it absolutely has some System Shock vibes to it. I’ve felt like they’ve done a few houses inspired by either BioShock or System Shock, without actually having the rights to do those (but man, BioShock is the absolute pipe dream, #1 most wanted house of all time).

Now that FNaF is done, agreement on BioShock being most wanted video game house!

And agreement on this feeling like it's inspired by quite a few games. To me, it very much feels like Cyberpunk meets Saws N' Steam (which, ironically, felt very inspired by BioShock!).

Bioshock is by FAR my wife's #1 most wanted IP. Maybe one day we'll get a quality show/movie so they feel compelled to bring it lol

Not to “toot” my own horn here and get things off topic but, the costumes are doable but absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever worn. Would have to be some kind of puppet for the big daddies because the costumes are just…. A nightmare.

To bring us back to topic since that’s straight up my fault for getting us off topic, what’s everyone’s guess on location? Queue video is interesting leads me to believe it’s the same tent as dolls/bugs/SS because they can do a big projection outside of it.

I was kinda hoping it would be in a soundstage, honestly, but I’m not sure what the actual set will be. If it’s a factory setting, I kinda feel like F&F would be good but it depends on how much they change it. They killed it with Major Sweets.

I think the rumor lately has shifted to F&F for this? I believe Invasion and Bloodengutz are rumored for the sprung tents, and to be fair, we know Bloodengutz will also have a queue video.

First off, sweet friggin' cosplay! Respect for you on wearing that.

Second, the location for this is F&F. Several folks I know have backed this up, and the 5 house R.I.P. Tour for the North side of the park confirms it's in that area. The North side of the tour covers all four sprung tents and F&F. Both Hellraiser and Sinners are the big tents, while Invasion is Sprung 1 and H.R. Bloodengutz is Sprung 2 (The tent which has been able to have queue video in the past.) So Cybergoria is F&F, where they can use the queue tv's for its video.

As construction has shown, they're going with a setup akin to last year with first part of the house in F&F's building, then entering tents outside. However, it seems like they're possibly covering the entry to the tents outside so there's no moment of being outside.

When Cybergoria was announced, I felt this was going to be a very basic and uninteresting house. But the content revealed at the panel recently has completely shifted my opinion. They seem to be going all-in with the story. Providing advertisements and "propaganda" for the company behind giving humans immortality. Very Saws 'N' Steam inspired.

I think we're in for a tonally serious, very intense, and gritty haunted house. Which is something I believe HHN hasn't attempted in quite some time (unless you count Zyborgs).

Putting this in Fast and Furious is definitely the right move. The dystopian and industrial setting blends really well with Supercharged's warehouse set-up, and I'm interested to see how they tackle the outdoor transition.

Pretty excited for this one.

Thank you for the compliment, he took a lot of work and is still getting tweaked every month or so to be a bit more “wearable” along with the other models.

I appreciate the confirmation on location, and agree with you both, an industrial setting for this one would be really cool. It didn’t really hit me that the reason you would be watching the queue video and then “feel” the freezing process is more than likely because the facade of the house and perhaps even the first room takes place “before” the catastrophic future. So the facade, if I were to take a guess, maybe it’s the exterior of the lab, and then you walk through a room where the “doorway” into the rest of the house is one of the freezing chambers followed by fog and cold air?

Gonna know how Han Solo felt in Empire Strikes Back.

This one has certainly jumped up to my #1 spot I think. Invasion was originally, but this, HR, and Invasion I think are all close to tied at this point, with Cybergoria being my most hyped.
