Okay why is Ygor a live-action version of the one Villain from Despicable Me? (Yea try to unsee it)

After seeing that Victoria preshow with Frankie/Drac... once again, why is it so hard for the Studio to give us the Universal Monsters on the big screen!?

Between HHN & Epic Universe, the updated revival of the monsters is dangling in front of them!

BlogMickey's Monsters Unchained review says...
... that many scenes are way too brightly-lit, exposing elements that shouldn't be visible (AA infrastructure, back-of-house areas, ceilings).

Was that anyone else's experience, or did BlogMickey perhaps just get a bad ride with the evac lights on, or something?

I've ridden it 3 times and I never saw anything like that. Probably just a bad ride through.

Or perhaps he’s a Disney blogger and he is trying to nitpick and say something bad just to say it because it’s not Disney

I think that's extremely unfair, as is the idea that to have criticisms of such things would mean you're some kind of Disney shill with opinions thereby rendered invalid.

for what it's worth, there have been reviews mentioning visible ride vehicles / back of house stuff. hard to know if that will be the case when the ride is officially open (or how severe that visibility actually is).

I’ve seen this mentioned in a few other reviews from previews, with reviewers hoping it was bc some elements were still under construction.

BM is one of the least sensationalized theme park blogs out there. It's very level-headed, even-handed coverage, and has directed plenty of criticism Disney's way, too.

Other ride vehicles being visible is no big deal.

Back-of-house stuff I have little tolerance for.

Blog Mickey is not wrong, but it's not finished yet. I am sure Blackout curtains are coming to many places below the ride vehicles.

The ride vehicles are part of the storyline - there's no reason to hide them. In fact Igor does a whole pre-show about the vehicles and what to expect. You're a group moving on the vehicles through the catacombs of the castle

I said the other day that Igor is Vector's down on his luck after a 5 year meth binge twin brother. Who has now become Victoria's MINION.

I don’t think anyone’s really complained about the ride vehicles. That conceit is setup in the pre show. If they did that’s silly.

But people have mentioned seeing backstage, AA mechanics, etc.

Just a heads up, there are more extensive leaks floating around that appear to show most of the ride.

Watched the preshows, but ain't gonna watch that POV. I'm surprised to see an original attraction with competent CGI screen elements.

The lights were way too bright on my first ride but that was right after a delay, rest of the rides it was fine, but I do think they should still darken things a bit more.

And there are two moments where the vehicle awkwardly faces an unthemed wall for a moment, although it did seem like they're working on fixing that with theming.
