Oh no, I wasn't really responding to your line of questioning. I just think if we try to think too hard about why a human "monster" is still alive 100 years later, we aren't seeing the forest for the trees. If we really want to go down that road, we see Invisible Man, Wolfman, and Phantom all die at the end of their respective movies.

You could then fall down the road of silly things like the whole "Ygor dies on the ride, but is roaming the land" aspect too hah.

I see the themepark world like an episode of Family Guy. Crazy stuff happens, sometimes involving incredible bodily injury, and next episode is like a new world, where it never happened.

That’s kinda where themeparks live.

At the end of the movie they chuck him into the Seine, and as we see at the end of Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man getting submerged in a river is enough to end up preserving your body in ice for the next sequel. The math checks out.

For what it's worth, regarding the 'How are some of them still alive' question, me and some friends were discussing some of the details you can find in the queue, and there are implications that are... rather disturbing:
Victoria is shown to be constantly torturing and seemingly extracting DNA from Drac's vampire bats, using it to not only keep the monsters alive, but possibly lobotomizing Phantom and Quasi to keep them fully under control and content? The lore of Darkmoor gets rather grim the deeper you look into it, and it's possibly my favorite thing about the land. They did NOT pull any punches on delivering a proper horror story.

The Dark Universe lore runs very deep, and 90% of it is completely missable. Makes me wonder if they’ll expand on it with the Creature ride or a show

We need full coverage of the queue line cause we could just be misremembering, but me and the friends I was talking with about this thought we remembered seeing a small diagram in the queue that resembled a lobotomy treatment, and it'd make sense that it would've been done to Phantom and Quasi, the only 'human' monsters.

I’m grateful to have The Invisible Man walk around the area, but man, I won’t lie, this interaction made me realize the potential he could’ve had if he were in the ride.

I feel if there is someone who I can see, sneak into Victoria’s castle, and shut off the power, freeing the monsters for the sake of chaos, it would be Jack Griffin himself.

And in a hypothetical expanded story, I like to see him form some rivalry between him and Victoria.

Also, the actor is really good here! Almost like Claude Rains himself.

Adding more onto how the story and lore of Darkmoor is rather captivating, here's the biggest mystery...

Victoria may not be a Frankenstein.

Have they rectified any of the lighting + backstage visibility issues? Haven't watched any POVs, so I'm not entirely sure how much of a "problem" it is, but I would hope they're still tinkering with things to make the attraction as immersive as possible.

We talking Unchained or Curse of the Werewolf? I assume the latter but would love more details.
