My idea for a Slasher house, based on the Netflix/Shudder series of the same name. Highly recommend giving it a watch if you haven't, it's a murder mystery anthology with each season being a different whodunnit, and it has some of the bloodiest, goriest, most over-the-top kills I've seen in any horror media, it's great. My idea for a house would be a compilation of Seasons 2-4 (Guilty Party, Solstice, Flesh & Blood). Of course, this will include spoilers, you've been warned.
SLASHER (Location: Soundstage 24A (Insidious: The Further))
Prelude
We walk down the black curtain corridor of SS24A, with three banners, each being the logo for the seasons we're about to walk through. In the background, the killer's theme from Guilty Party is playing.
Facade
As we turn the corner of the hallway, we find ourselves in a dark and snowy setting, with the We Live as One retreat lodge looming over us. To our left is a bloody snowman made up of Gene's intestines, and to our right is Susan's corpse, eye sockets still bleeding out. Just before we enter the lodge, the Camp Motega Killer comes at us with a chainsaw.
Scene 1: Garage/Antoine's Death
Upon stepping inside, we find ourselves in the garage, where Glenn/Benny is tied up in the chair, completely mutilated with deep cuts all over his body. This only serves as the prelude, however, as we round about and witness Antoine's death, with the killer driving the auger into his stomach, guts spinning about and blood splattering onto us as he screams and begs for help, to no avail. We take our exit back outside.
Scene 2: Forest
We go outside into the complete isolation of the woods, with distant mirrors creating the illusion that the woods just keep going. Hung up in the trees above us is Talvinder's skeleton, overlooking us. We hear the distant sounds of Renee's screams and a snowmobile revving, as well as tree branches cracking and heavy footsteps, all to create a sense of paranoia that we're being stalked. Finally, Dawn jumps out, screaming upon seeing Talvinder's corpse, before the killer appears on the other side, firing a single gun shot at Dawn.
Scene 3: Silo (Guilty Party Finale)
We enter the silo, the only light in here being the candles that light up the altar that tributes Owen. Speaking of, looking up you can see the noose he hung himself with, as the Camp Motega Killer (or if you can cast a lookalike, Judith) watches over us.
Scene 4: Apartment Hallway (Solstice)
We transition into the Clayborne Apartment Complex, as a neon projection on the wall displays Solstice's logo. A blood trail lines the floor and walls, with continuous doors on either side and screams heard throughout. We reach two doors that are open, one being Amy's apartment (her corpse on the bed), the other being the Lickers apartment (Joe's eviscerated corpse sitting alongside Violet's), which only serve as distractions, as two Druids then attack from us from both sides, scaring us into turning the corner.
Scene 5: Classroom/Kaili's Death
We enter Kaili Greenberg's classroom for the most disturbing scene of the house. On desks throughout the room we see dissected frog corpses, meanwhile on the main lab table, we have two live scareactors, Kaili (think the spine rip scene from Unmasked), as the Druid dissects her, tearing into her with surgical clamps and pulling out her heart to finish the kill. If you look up, you can see Cassidy's corpse in the vent.
Scene 6: Solstice Party
Ah, now for a staple of HHN, the mannequin room. We enter the solstice party, where everyone is now dressing up as the Druid! We squeeze our way through the loud, overstimulating and claustrophobic party floor, as many Druid partygoers surround us, not knowing which ones are real and fake. 3 of them will come at you to represent each Druid killer, the first holding a knife (Wyatt), the second holding an axe (Connor) and the third holding a large blade (Jen). We escape the rave into a small transition hallway, a projector showing us the logo for Flesh & Blood.
Scene 7: Shack/Merle's Death
We're temporarily back outside, approaching a shack. Off in the distance, you can see the Gentleman watching us. As we enter the shack, we see Jayden's limbs splattered about the shack, and Merle's corpse hanging in front of us, stomach torn open with intestines falling out, but seemingly no scareactor in here. As we approach Merle's corpse, the Gentleman's arm rips through Merle's stomach with a butcher knife toward us, as we escape.
Scene 8: Mansion Grounds/Multi-Kills
Headed back outside, we see the Galloway estate in the distance, with games and traps set up around us that we must make our way through to be granted safe passage. To our right, we see Birgit buried in the sand, only her head sticking out as it's engulfed by water. Continuing on, we pass by Florence's "art", her corpse now a part of it, as the Gentleman suddenly appears from behind it and swipes at us with their knife. We get closer to the mansion, but one last obstacle: Aphra's corpse, completely sawed in half with each half tied to a tree, with the only way forward being to walk between the two halves. We do so hesitantly, the Gentleman appearing again with the hacksaw, sending us running toward the manor.
Scene 9: Basement/Grace + Seamus' Death
We enter the final game room, the puzzle boards set up attempting to solve which family member was chosen to be the killer. It's in here that the heat is cranked up, with Grace's melting body sitting on the ground, molten gold being poured straight into her mouth by the Gentleman. We go running into a hallway, where we see Seamus' corpse sitting on the ground, eye removed by fire poker, which begins coming at us through holes in the wall (air blasts).
Scene 10: And the winner is...
We walk down the banquet hall, each family member's head mounted on the wall (except for Liv), with their corpses sitting in the chairs. Some of them come alive for but a moment, reaching out at us for a scare. At the end of the hall, standing at the table, is the Gentleman waiting to 'congratulate' us with their butcher knife. We then exit the house.
OPTIONAL?
Not entirely sure whether or not I'd want this in the house as I feel the proper last scene makes for a solid finale, but will throw it out there as a maybe last scare. As we exit the theming of the house, there's one last scare from behind a curtain by the Druid, a reference to Amber appearing in the finale of Flesh & Blood, revealing it takes place before Solstice.
