I think the best outcome would be an emphasis on voice chat, rather than text channels. Balancing Discord and an older-styled web forum is pretty tricky without Discord just cannibalizing the activity on the actual boards. I believe that a properly moderated, streamlined, and segmented Discord server unfortunately invites that cannibalization imo; and so honestly and maybe obtusely, I think I would prefer just a few cluttered text channels to something like what the Parkstop Discord has going on. That is a wonderful server to get your Discord theme park fix that has been running for years and years now, let it fill that niche and keep the forums active and healthy.
I would much rather like to use a Discord server to more personally get to know people from this forum. I've tried to build connections with people on here that I recognize again and again, but frankly there's only so much personality you can extract from an old avatar and a person's opinion on Peter Pan's Flight at Magic Kingdom haha. I've met lifelong friends from forums, but we didn't get to know each other on the forum itself. It took that more personal chatroom to get to that point. It would've been Skype or Chatzy groups back then. It would definitely be an interesting and different thing to moderate, but I would honestly really appreciate a space like that.
