New Nighttime Parade Coming to Magic Kingdom

Picture this: you’re nestled on Main Street, U.S.A. with your loved ones getting ready to watch a nighttime parade come to life right before your eyes. Maybe you’ve got a churro or a Mickey Ice Cream bar in hand, or are eyeing a nearby popcorn cart, who knows! But the lights dim, the music swells,

Absolutely love it. I grew up with Spectro and I have such fond memories of watching the night time parade. It has been sorely missed. It adds such energy to the park.

Selfishly I want this to open before June as I have a trip planned for the first week. Not confident it will be running by then!

Disney usually tries to aim for Memorial Day Weekend for attraction openings. I can see them packaging the parade and Test Track to open on the same day to kick off summer.

Although the grand opening date of Epic will ultimately play a part in when it opens as well as they don’t want to open at the same time and be overshadowed. I mean they will be overshadowed next year no matter what, but they still want to make sure people know about that stuff.

It's a long overdue, and MUCH needed addition.

Should also "force" Disney to close the park later in the day now.

This entire year MK's been closing at 9-10, with a few 11PM closures. Makes leaving the park a pain in the butt.

Was REALLY hoping this would be open early summer-we leave Sunday. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. I have such fond memories of watching Specto as a kid I wanted to watch this with my 4 and 2 year old. Oh well, always next year.

Same with us. We'll be there at the end of June, but this late in the summer debut misses our trip. At least we'll get the two new shows at DHS, which appear entertaining.....and with AC.

Yeah excited for the new shows for sure. We may or may not be back next year-seriously thinking about doing Disneyland next summer instead. Wife and I went once about 10 years ago and loved it. It would be our girls first time.

Wow-- so less than 4 weeks of it running then it's cancelled for MNSSHP 3-4 nights a week. Great job! Bonuses all around and promotions for everyone involved!

They knew they needed something as a stop gap and they couldn't even open it at the start of summer.

They wanted it done sooner but there were delays.

Those pesky tariffs probably aren’t helping.

I get that but it seems like poor planning or a rushed decision when they knew they needed SOMETHING new this summer, and they’ve known they needed a new nighttime parade for YEARS now.

Rivers of Light missed by an entire year.

And you'll actually be able to see it on non-party nights unlike CineSational on non-HHN nights.
