It's definitely intriguing, since I doubt DL is going to provide the kind of budget that the OLC gives to WDI, so it'll be interesting to see what they can come up with.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens November 15. No word on whether or not Disney Drew will be among the dignitaries present.

Ah yes just in time for the freezing weather.

They announced a lot of stuff at D23, and they claimed most of it has started work already... but is it me, or did they (aside from Tiana) not give any sort of timelines where they expect any of these rides to be open?

First look at the new Hungry Bear Restaurant Food. Also Critter Country is being changed to Bayou Country, they didn't really seem like they wanted to talk much about this land at the conference

Finally Millenium Falcon is going to get new missions. Hope they’re randomized like star tours so the ride offers better re-rideability
I'm sure the first months or year it wont but maybe after...unless it gets like rave reviews and they decide just to stick to one story

Also on the note of star Tours the last few times Ive been on it its alllllll the same paths with the exceptions on how shows up in between..so hoping soon they will make Star Tours Random again

I’m curious though how the pre show with Hondo is going to work if they alternate missions. Which makes me wonder if random missions is possible. Unless during our coaxium run with Hondo turns into us helping Mando and Grogu during the mission.

If Avatar is in California Land, then the park will be split exactly down the middle between California (Buena Vista Street, Grizzly Peak, Paradise Park, Pixar Pier) and Adventure (Pandora, Avengers Campus, San Fransokyo, Cars Land) so the name still works if read very literally.

And all the Adventure areas you mentioned, with the exception of Pandora, can be fit into California. And even Pandora could be weaved into that (though I have no reason to believe it will be).

I believe someone mentioned on a YT video the way to tie Avatar in CA would be to have one of the upcoming movies take place on earth in California for part of it. Or you start and CA and go to Pandora or something like that.

But most theme park visitors simply don't care Avatar has no ties to CA, they just want to have a fun time at the park visiting these immersive lands.

They have played pretty fast and loose with the Disney California Adventure name post 2012.

The way I look at it now is the name no longer refers to California being the theme of the park, but rather it is just a Disney park that is quite literally in California. It makes more sense in my head that way :lmao:
