Sorry, I wasn't clear: I meant the birthrate in the United States is going to continue to decline. Yes, historically, countries with a declining birthrate hit the immigration button. I am not convinced we're going to see that again (because of climate change), but if we do see a big influx of immigration ... I think luxury vacations like the ones Disney offers are not going to be doing so hot.

We will see

I think Disney is now just baked into America, I'm not saying they could not fall but I think mostly they will be fine if they keep up what they are doing now, which is improving the parks yearly. People keep selling out he meh after dark events and Oggie Boogie isn't changing much and will sell out

I agree that there are some issue we in America in the future will have with birthrates and AI but I think that will affect everyone not just Disney when it happens, We talked about before how like nice hotels are doing well because those who have money loveeeee to waste it. So I think if Disney can cater to them but also get APs in they can find a way to keep the parks running just like they are now

I mean they aren't even trying that hard to get people in, I would be going if they had some discount tickets this summer, until I see Disney doing discount tickets at say the holidays I think it signals they are doing well enough

For those of you who are rooting for Pandora to get booted by Zootopia…you might want to sit down. Might have found some proof that Avatar is still on.

The poster also demonstrated the future of DLR writ large, case in point the EGW, Coco, and ID/SFL were pictured as well.

I wonder if people are getting wires crossed regarding this DCA Zootopia rumor. Maybe Zootopia is destined for DAW, replacing what was widely believed to be Avatar there for the post Lion King lake expansion.

I mean the Zootopia stuff was just online

It was never a rumor just a want people want but Disney has a plan and doubt they’d change it because of some Reddit posters

Don't they already have an events park? I think you're dead wrong about their ability to get another 10 million guests through the turnstiles of a third park, but even if you assume that's true ... why would anyone want that? In what way is that better than expanding the current parks?

Who's excited that they'll start charging an even bigger premium because they've added a third park that will almost certainly be wildly under built when it opens because ... that's what they've all been in our lifetime. I just don't see a great reason for either Disney or guests to actually want a third gate. It's just a short-lived dopamine hit for enthusiasts online. I'm good!

The current parks are hitting capacity. Non-holiday weekends in spring and summer sell out for both parks multiple days in advance despite being $200 for a basic 1-day ticket. Adding more attractions to the existing two will boost capacity in some ways, but I imagine there are still other logistical bottlenecks limiting how many people a single gate can handle. While I don’t have any sort of estimate of how many people would visit a third gate, the demand definitely seems to exist. Having a separate, third park is better than having two because it 1) has more space for attractions than the speculated DL and DCA expansion plots and 2) should decongest the other two parks which are struggling to handle the current crowd levels. Also, building a third park wouldn’t preclude expanding the other two. Por qué no los dos?

No, they are not. At least, they’re not hitting capacity anything close to regularly.

They're hitting the "capacity" of whatever arbitrary number of reservations they're willing to dole out (read: staff for).

And that’s primarily from the Magic Key pools. They’re happy to increase their staffing if they’re selling loads of full-priced tickets. There isn’t a single day from now until next year that’s “sold out” for those buying single day tickets.

There is no evidence to support that building a third theme park would bring down crowd levels at the existing parks. In fact, if more people are traveling to Anaheim, it would likely be the opposite.
