The accent is a little out of place.. but the visuals plus Alan Menken's music make this the first of these remakes that I'm actually interested in.

It really is as Belle is French. Mon Cherie should've been the biggest hint and her voice is too low toned for my taste.

Why does the Beast have to be CGI? They could have done some fantastic makeup work instead and made it look a lot more realistic.

As long as Menkin's music is in it, I'd go see it even if it was a blank screen. I like the score that much.

It is all a matter of perspective.

I had to look twice when I first saw the Beast, reminded me of Groot LOL.

76% on Rotten Tomatoes with an average rating of 6.5/10. Does not bode well.

Considering it was in the 40's earlier, it's improved quite a bit.

It is good that the percentage of critics thought it was fresh but the issue more so is that 6.5 which means above average which isn't a great score for a remake of a masterpiece. But maybe this will make disney stop making live actions from things that shouldn't be remade.

The reviews will start pouring out more. Give it more time, and we'll know more soon enough on the overall rating.

The beast was originally done with makeup but the end result was felt unsatisfactory and cgi was overlaid

Seems the biggest issue is the autotune of most of the singing which really takes people out of the film and Emma Watson's protrayal of Belle is somewhat bland.

This movie seems to have brought out the bigotry in the Disney fan community. I killed the last couple afternoons at work slapping some of them around on Facebook...

Yeah, I heard that in a TV spot that just aired. She sounds pretty in some parts but Paige O'Hara she is not.

Maleficent was pretty good, Cinderella was very good and jungle book was excellent. Bring it on.

Lol, apparently some evangelical pastor calls for a Disney boycot over this movie because it has gay elements.

No need to pay attention to these boycotts. The movie will easily do $1 billion when all's said and done.

79% and 6.6/10 for F&F 7 says the same thing yet it's one of the top grossing movies of all time.

This is a big name movie with big name leads and songs everyone knows. I'll be surprised if this movie doesn't do similar numbers to Jungle Book and come close to (if not top) $1Bn worldwide.

Depends on world of mouth. As I stated multiple times, its a classic is if its not as good as people hope then bad word of mouth may kill the nostalgia factor already there. Also Jungle book wasn't on consideration to be banned in other countries while this is already being suggested to be banned in Russia
