What are these time share kiosks? The ones that also sell BMG tickets and CityWalk passes?

There are kiosks around the parks selling time shares.

I've seen 2 inside the parks. One in IOA in MSHI between Capt America Dinner and the coner Ice Cream Place, and the second one in USF between MIB and Fear Factor.

I have always found this to be such a pathetic move for UOR. I had no idea they were still there hawking their wares.

They popped up during the dark ages and are one of the things UOR can't seem to get rid of. I've heard the company has a contract with UOR through a certain date and that they'll be gone after that. Hopefully that's the case.

Yes I'm aware. But whenever someone throws 'imagineering' under the bus you cant limit it to Orlando. It's all one big group. The lack of proper spend and years of neglect in Orlando is largely not the fault of Imagineering.

I think a "fanboi" is more likely one so in love with a company he has to defend it at any cost, even when one of its outlets has clearly been left to rot at the expense of others.

For the record I'm also not intending to defend the state of WDW. I was defending the talent of imagineering worldwide. I've been to all other Disney parks, USO, USJ and USS more recently than WDW... and there is a reason.

The point is that Imagineering has plenty of talent for when they actually get around to focusing the A teams on Orlando.

As I recall, each of those timeshare stations have a rep from Westgate, Starwood, and Wyndham each there, so my question is are all of their contracts up or just one of those companies?

I didn't get the vibe of any cynicism in this thread. It's clear DHS is going to get a substantial investment, which we've all been wishing for for years and years now. What remains to be seen is what Disney's interpretation of what guests want is. The largest expansion in MK history got us a D-ticket coaster, a C-ticket omnimover, meet and greets, and a restaurant. I think a little cause for concern may be warranted.

The sad thing is, this forum has better ideas and a clear vision to where the park should be and what would make it sucessful in the future, than the company itself. Disney should give us the check book and allow this forum to save their failing park.

The problem with Disney is they do things on what they think will be great, versus actually asking people what they think would be great.

Any and all surveys that people can take can also be completely deconstructed to their viewpoint. So asking us what we want, or what we like, will always be interpreted into what they want and what they like.

But if this expansion is going to be done, it has to be done right, which is proper lands and a more of a hub and spoke layout hopefully.

Star Wars Land
-3 rides total, Star Tours, plus an e ticket and c ticket
-Jedi Academy
-Mos Eisly Cantina

Pixar Land
-RSR
-Monsters Inc Door Coaster
-Expanded TSMM
-Flat rides for kids

-Hollywoodland
-Include current entrance, Chinese Theater, Sunset Blvd area, Animation and Disney Jr areas
-Add more Hollywood themes and movie references maybe a museum of props and combine it with One Mans Dream
-Include a show building with rotating "mini" performances of the existing and former Broadway productions
-Build a backdrop or cut out mountain with famous "Hollywood" or Hollywoodland" sign in the area in between TOT and RRC

I think, since E.T.'s race was cameoed in the Star Wars prequels, that this expansion should include a Star Tours ride that commutes to Universal, dropping you off at E.T. Adventure. No? Okay.

I'm surprised I'm not hearing more about this over here, but James Gunn let it leak on his Periscope that a Guardians of the Galaxy ride is coming to WDW....likely for the DHS expansion.

Well, it was on Periscope so the broadcast has expired. I don't have any way to be able to go back to hear what he said. Someone on InsideUniversal has claimed to have heard it.

Interesting. I'd be VERY surprised if that was the case, but interesting none the less
