Haven't seen this yet and am not sure what to think. The visual effects look amazing and like they're the best part of the movie, but... I'm not usually a fan of when things like magic are thrown into a world where it previously didn't exist and everything was science-based. Guess I'll find out if I see it.

Now you sound like Doctor Strange himself ;D

I give that (and GOTG) a pass since they're aliens, and they constantly distinguish the usual "it's magic to us but advanced science to them."

They explain it all in the movie...

But we're also discussing the reality of a friggin' comic book movie. :cautious:

Also the fact it's not an original story. All these are based of marvel comics where there is magic. So it's not like they just pull it out of nowhere.

Good movie, but there are a lot of story issues. Excellent visuals and 3D.

Marvel can do no wrong. Another solid entry. My knowledge on Doctor Strange was next to nothing before seeing it. I'd imagine it's the same for a majority of the people who saw it this weekend as well. It just shows that as long as Marvels name is attached, people will see it. The fact that a movie featuring a lesser known character pulled in 85 million the first weekend in November bodes well for Marvels future.

This sums up my experience. Not clue about Doctor Strange. But I was able to follow and enjoyed this movie a lot. One of my top 5 Marvel films for absolute certain.
