It seems like Dollhouse of the Damned mixed with Toy Story? Sadly I'm sure there's no toys warning us of her arrival lol, I keep funnily thinking of the girl being similar to the girl from Finding Nemo, I think someone mentioned before, Darla Sherman XD

“Comedy house”
Very dark, honestly I like the direction.

I think the key words here are "kind of", a good past example is Bugs: Eaten Alive! was kind of a comedy house.

At the same time, they're mentioning this house gets bloodier and bloodier as it goes on, and there's some pretty freaky/unsettling things in there, so the "kind of" comment might be pretty apt.

Bringing this back up since I was able to talk with someone who knows about the house, and this house is described more as "unsettling", akin to Dollhouse of the Damned.

I think those of us who went through Dollhouse of the Damned it will be impossible to not make comparisons however I think enough time has passed since that house and so many people who are attending HHN now didn't see it that if this is essentially a sequel/successor of Dollhouse I'll be happy. Doesn't need to reinvent the wheel just do more of what that house did and I will be good. I do wish they made Dollhouse it's own brand of houses at HHN just rename it to Dollhouse of the Damned: Just Play Dead would've been a nice throwback/homage but oh well.

I loved Dollhouse of the Damned -- the smell of baby powder -- giant baby calling me 'mama' --

this house has more a fun house vibe to it in a strange sort of way

Good scares in here but most of all, just a genuinely creepy house. It's unsettling and leaves you with a feeling of dread of what terrors Lyla is going to inflict in her future.

The audio cues from the characters are fairly humorous but I think the design of the characters supersedes that and makes them creepy

Going back to what I said earlier, the house was described to the UK media presentation along the lines of "kind-of checks the boxes of a comedy house".

The key word is "Kind-of", and it's doing all the heavy lifting here since I would not describe this as a comedy house. I think the reason they described it as such is because there is no comedy house this year, so they really had to reach for one that kind-of goes darkly humorous at times.

No joke, we essentially have the spiritual sequel at the same event, it’s Terrifier. The parallels between the two are very fun, Lyla treats her playthings like flesh and Art treats flesh like a plaything, both to similar ends.

When exiting dolls you can hear her. I think they just have it rotating her lines but she was appearing to those.
I didn’t close the house last night but I didn’t see her.
